Have been heavily involved in years gone by, but sometimes life's direction takes a different path.
I would suggest looking into the traditional muzzleloading forums, and of course attending a buckskinner event and having a look at what's going on.

Check out the NMLRA if you want to be in the fraternal order of soot, and spend the rest of your days battling corrosion.

Try the Traditional Muzzleloading Forum, and you might want to consider a subscription to Muzzleloader Magazine. As well as think about reading The Book of Buckskinning by William Scurlock, the former publisher of Muzzleloader. There is a whole series of the books.
