Buckskinners

Trying to get started and could use any advice I can get. Really trying to figure out the clinger vs cap lock thing. I've been hunting with inlines for a loooong time but I've never used a traditional front stuffer. I have to admit that the flintlock trade guns have a very romantic appeal tho

Any buckskinners in the group???? Trying to get involved myself would love to pick the brains of some old-timers
Have been heavily involved in years gone by, but sometimes life's direction takes a different path.
I would suggest looking into the traditional muzzleloading forums, and of course attending a buckskinner event and having a look at what's going on.
Here I am in my bear head hat circa 1978-9..

I belong to a club, but I'm not going out in the snow. Too cold. ;) Those mountain men and long hunters were tough.
