Hi all!
I have a 50 cal Thompson Center muzzleloader. For hunting here in Colorado, I use 50 cal maxiballs, since sabots are not legal for hunting in this state.
However, I have a significant amount of Missouri Bullet Co. 44 cal (.430) Elmer Keith lead bullets for my 44 mag.
I am...
I own a LCP and a SP101. I CC both.
Everything else being equal (comfort, concealability, etc) , would YOU rather carry 7 rounds of .380 in a mousegun, or 5 rounds of .357 in a revolver, and why?
thanks!

I like both of these holsters for the price point and quality.
I will be OWB carrying a Ruger SR9C.
Pro's and con's between these 2 holsters? Is retention better with one than the other? Is one more concealable than the other or less likely to print?
Much appreciated,

Hey all,
I've searched high and low but still can't seem to find an answer to my question.
I have a few thousand MBC bullets that I'd like to powder coat. I don't want to have to resize before shooting (deal breaker for me).
Will melting off the lube then powder coating result in a...
Hi all,
I have a Colorado muzzleloader tag in a reasonably well know (read: "busy") unit. In this unit, it is said that the first crack of a muzzloeloader sends the elk onto a large preserve almost immediately.
Many folks also claim that a new moon makes for better elk hunting because...
Sorry if someone else already posted this - I haven't seen mention of it.
But it appears that the NFS has shut down shooting in much of Colorado's public lands east of the divide:
Order No. 10-00-2012-03
ORDER
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
and Pawnee National Grassland...
Hi all,
I am in Vegas on business and have some time to burn over the next couple of days.
Does anyone have any ideas for firearm related places I should check out? I was thinking maybe a range where I could go full auto, museums, good gun shops, etc.
Thanks!

Well, I was doing some brass prep today and switched to some 17 Fireball.
I set up the sizing/decapping die and dove in.
About 10 brass in, I set one down on the table and it rolled away from me. I noticed that it wobbled as it rolled, and the neck and shoulder didn't look like it was...
I suspect some of the brass will be unusable 22 brass but even they told me to expect a lot of 9mm, 40, and 45. Revolver calibers (357, 44 mag, etc will be less common.)
I can take unsorted brass off their hands for $2.50 a pound. They say that's the exact price they can get from their...
Hi all!
Having a few conversations on other forums about head space in a .260 Savage I just built. There is a lot of conjecture, plenty of guys saying "just buy the Go Gauges" and others who think my logic is flawed.
As I am new to the headspace game I thought I'd ask you all since this...
Sorry if you've all seen this cross posted on some other forums. The post was written so thought I'd just paste it up here too!
I had today off and the weather looked nice so I headed off on my second annual September Colorado High Country Marmot Hunt. Roughly about a year ago, I posted a...
Hi all,
I've shot 2400 under 158 grain XTP's with great results.
I just ran 100 rounds of Missouri Bullet Co cast bullets through the same gun using the same load.
I felt like I was smoking everyone out of the indoor range. And the gun is dirtier than it usually is after some shooting...
Anyone have any experience with this unit?

Decapping while sitting in the recliner watching football sounds right up my alley :D

I won't be shooting with a can, just a brake, so worried a little about the 1-10" twist. Can it still shoot typical 308 ammo (say, 168 gr bullets) OK? I handload so can work something up, just want to make sure I am not stuck with a gun that will only shoot subsonic or supressed loads.
thanks!
HI all,
I am considering a Remington LSS in 7mm-08 and I am wondering if the LSS action and barrel is the same as the SPS stainless finish? The SPS stainless finish doesn't impress me, it seems sprayed on or parkerized or something, but the LSS looks intriguing.
Anyone know?
thanks...
Hi all,
I typically use Winchester brass exclusively for my 44 mag reloading, but I also have about 200 R-P, Norma, and S&W mixed brass.
Assuming they are all trimmed to the same length for crimp purposes, will I come across any consistency issues (reloading, accuracy, or otherwise) using...
Hi all,
I've reloaded quite a bit for rifle but am still kinda new to handguns.
I have been shooting a mid-range load that I perceive as a extremely mild shooting:
12.5gr 2400
Hornady 158gr XTP
The local stores are out of 158gr's so I picked up 2 boxes of 125 gr this afternoon. I...
I am interested in working up a nice stiff load for the times when I trek into the mountains here in Colorado packing my .357 Mag revolver.
I am interested in the Missouri Bullet .357 180gr Striker, but I am wondering how much of a difference the relatively round meplat will impact...
Well, I consider myself a newbie reloader compared to most of you and all of my experience has been limited to bottleneck rifle loads.
Today was my first crack at loading some straight-walled cartridges.
First on-deck was some loads for my new-to-me Ruger SRH 44 mag, using 240 GR XTP's and...
Well, I have been in the market for a big game revolver, something in a 44 Mag, 45 Colt, or 454 Casull. S&W and Rugers have been catching my eye but nothing has been available locally and Gunbroker prices are insane.
So, at the second to last table at the Gunshow today, I spied just what I was...
