I live in Tennessee and our house has a full basement, I want to store at least 1 handgun in a small safe in the basement, however, the humidity is very high in the long summer months, so, in your opinion which gun would handle humidity better a SS Ruger SP101 or a Glock/Walther P99 type pistol...
I realize a shotgun is an outstanding weapon for HD, however, I like most people have kids in the house and it's just not practical "for me" to have a shotgun laying around the house. My compramise is a full size .45 ACP which follow me every where I go in the house and the kids don't even know...
Bought a new Bersa Firestorm today an fired 200 rounds of CCI mini mags. The gun has a 10 round mag. and at least 1 or 2 rounds needed a second trigger pull to fire the round. I find it hard t believe it's the ammo. ONly 1 round wouldn't fire and I checked the round and it had a typical .22...
My wife has gone shooting with me and friends several times and is recoil/blast sensitive. She wants a .22 revolver to get comfortable with before moving up to a larger caliber.
She likes revolvers better and I currently have a .357 Ruger Security Six 6" barrel, .357 SP101 3" barrel and a...
I am thinking of ordering a new .22 LR SP101 with a 4" barrel for my wife who is recoil sensitive and am wondering if anyone has bought one and what their opinion is of the gun? I have a SP101 .357 mag. with a 3" barrel and do like it.
I know .22 LR is not the best caliber for self defense...
I had a Ruger MKIII and shot my buddies Sig. Mosquito many times and I found neither one was very reliable and I just got tired of trying everything, CCI ammo was the best and jamming issues were less frequent but still there.
I really want a reliable .22 handgun and am considering either...
I recently bought both the Kel-tec PF9 and the Ruger LC9. I put 200 rounds through ea. ( with a buddy to share the recoil with), had about 15 FTE/FTF's with the Kel-tec and none with the LC9.
Cleaned both guns and shot 200 rounds through ea. again, same deal, about 15 FTE/FTF's with the...
I may be moving from the east coast to the south, however, I am concerned about going through upper State NY.
I know of a individual that had handguns properly stored in a moving van going through NYC from Florida, was pulled over and asked if he had handguns and replied yes all locked and...
I had a S&W 637 Airweight .38+P and now have a Ruger LCR .38+P. I forgot just how stiff the trigger was on the Airweight until I fired my buddies the other day.
IMO the Airweight is prettier. The LCR better trigger, every thing else about equal.
Your Opinions Please?

I was shooting my new Ruger LCR .38 the other day and thought I would test it with speer gold dot 135 gr.+P. I shot 5 rounds into (dry) tied together phone books at about 10'. Not 1 of the gold dot's expanded, so, I'm not sure if it's the ammo or short barrel which this ammo is recommended...
Picked up a new LCR yesterday for $399 with leather holster. The holster is nothing much but it's functional and the gun fits real snug.
Ordered laser grips for it so I won't shoot it until I get it.

My primary carry is a Walther P99c and I love the gun, awsome trigger and very accurate, however, I want a smaller 9mm than the P99c and read the specs on the Kahr PM9.
The P99c is a little thick and heavy for a pocket carry but I'm thinking based on the pm9 specs it would be a better pocket...
If you were going to buy 1 lightweight .38 revolver, which one would you buy?
I had a S&W model 637 with hammer that I traded for a SP101 3" brl. and never looked back, however, I am itching to buy a Ruger LCR 38+P model for a pocket gun.

My wife and I are considering a move to Pleasantview TN next year and we are both pistol shooters.
Is there anyone on this forum that could provide info on where to shoot (legally of course) somewhere between Nashville and Clarksville TN.?
Thanks,
Sigbear
I will be traveling through NY/NJ soon and because of the liberal gun laws, I dare not transport my handgun through either of these states.
Is it legal to have pepper spray in your car when traveling through these states?

I will be traveling through NY/NJ and will not be taking my handgun because of the laws there, so, my question is, is carrying pepper spray or having it in the car legal?
I want to bring my Bear Spray because the last time I went camping in the state we are going to we ran into a mountain...
I never cared much for S&W semi-auto's, shot many, but liked other mfg's better (Sig & Walther) until I bought a S&W 1911, SS, 5" barrel.
I reluctantly traded in my Sig P220 in for it because it wasn't 100% reliable and I wanted another .45.
The 1911 now has 1000+ rounds through it, and...
I bought a new S&W full size SS 1911 a few months ago, this is my 1st 1911 so I am not all that familiar with them.
I now have 700 rounds through the gun and noticed the same thing each time shooting it. The gun is flawless for the 1st. 100 rounds or so, and then the 1st round of a full...
