    New CZ Varmint .22 LR

We love to take European tourists through there to watch their eyebrows climb over the top of their heads. The store also sells clothing and fishing tackle. Who needs a mall when we've got 'em all! They sell reloading components but alas, explosives are limited to binary stuff like Tannerite.

What is going on with guns

There are people out there who make money by sounding alarms, so they sound many alarms. There are people who try to consolidate their control of things by giving assurances about things they don't understand. It is human nature to want reliable answers, but we don't have reliable answers to the...

    New CZ Varmint .22 LR

I believe Wolf is a brand name owned by an importer. IIRC their match target rimfire was claimed to be made by SK some years ago. They likely have changed suppliers in later years.

    New CZ Varmint .22 LR

I walked into Dakotamart, a local store that sells groceries, drugs, alcohol and firearms, and saw a new CZ 457 Varmint on the rack with a wonderful tiger stripe stock. The price marked was $519, but all guns were 10% off, so it came home. Not the 452 full stock I bought for $300 10 or 15 years...

Colion Noir - NY Judge does not allow the 2nd Amendment in the courtroom?

The story didn't last long in legal because it has nothing to do with the law and everything to do with courtroom antics and folks misbehaving. The story sounds horrific and if it has been accurately related, someone who took an oath to support the constitution will likely be sanctioned by an...

Convicted For Building Guns; Judge says, “Do not bring the Second Amendment into this courtroom”

The OP is a discussion of an article, with no link to record or laws. It does not meet the requirements for the legal section. As with most of what passes for news these days, the article is inflammatory, represents only one viewpoint, and is intended to generate clicks.

    New CZ Varmint .22 LR

I just picked up a 457 varmint a couple months ago. Haven't shot it yet, but have a variety of ammo to try. I may have to try that 611 spring... Edited to note what I was calling a pro varmint is actually a varmint, just like Walkalong's.

    The Knock-Out Game

The irony of all this is the "pics or it didn't happen" meme which assures that almost all the events eventually make it onto social media. Somewhere out there is a world of evidence, including whose phone was used to record it and when it happened. Risk may be overblown, but is not zero. Buddy...

    Another bite at the apple?

I bought a ratty S&W Model 19 4" at a pawn shop, discovered that I enjoyed shooting it, but the compulsion to refinish it (and spend much more than I spent for the gun in the process) led me to sell at a consignment auction for a small profit. When I encountered a pristine 6" model some years...

Why Do You Carry A Gun?

I study history, read the news and try to learn from other people's mistakes. or Some day, trouble may find me. It will not find me helpless.

    22 ammo sticker shock

Once upon a time I would buy 50 rounds of Federal 22LR whenever it went on sale for $0.49 a box. That happened fairly often back in the 60s. Now I look for CCI SV below a dime a time. I buy big when I have an order that trips the shipping included trigger, and usually get my brother to pile on...

How to sew with a swiss army knife

The irony is that they make a small eyeglass screwdriver to fit the corkscrew. No such luck with the clumsy phillips driver. There are also firemaking supplies that attach to the corkscrew, but they seem a bit silly in that size. I am a bit surprised that Victorinox does not include a 1/4" hex...

Was there ANY Founding Father who did not own at least ONE firearm for personal use?

This question may be intriguing, but the foundation documents are not affected by the habits of the drafters and implementers . Traveling down this road hints that the documents cannot stand by themselves, and that is not a helpful narrative for our purposes. The best way to deal with guns...

Open Carry in a Traffic Stop

Here is a link to a resource for the cautious (guilty) and courteous (also guilty): https://www.usacarry.com/duty-to-inform-laws/ In South Dakota I understand that concealed carry permit information is included when the plates are called in, but of course permits are no longer required. I keep...

    Fraudulent "Pre Ban" Magazines

Conversely, seems like nothing to be gained by date stamping other than placating repressive regimes and ensuring one's mags are not purchased there.
