No I misunderstood original post thought it was a squib, however kroil oil alone is the answer pour it in barrel and in short time it should loose so the round can be ejected with slide, I suspect the round was a steel case or chamber very dirty.
I avoid all steel cased ammo as much as possible, the worse I have found is Winchester Forged, very rough cases, tried in 4 9mm's several misfires in all 4 guns.
I'm 75 so know some about sore stiff bones, I use a batting glove with my small pistols and rubber(hogue) grips seems to do the trick for me I can normally do a 100 rounds with out much problem. I see many older guys using wrist support, my thought is use what is necessary for comfort.

The 1911 is like a Picasso of the gun world, if I could only have one pistol it would be a 1911 45acp. I've own many pistols but still have the same good feeling when I pick up a 1911.
May want to try cleaning and lubing the mags, I recently purchased a kahr the mags were packed inside with cosmoline once cleaned they ran better but spring are still very stiff, I've fully loaded and let them set.
Your correct I misread the post as light recoil spring. I also do as you suggested works for me, however with a used auto never know what changes the previous owner has made.
Never know what changes the previous owner made, first thing I would is change recoil spring the one I owned(never a failure)had a very tight
recoil spring.
In my opinion the lower the weight the less you shoot them, a 10-11 oz gun is strictly a carry piece, fired once or twice perhaps monthly, my practice as someone posted is purchase a duplicate use one for range one for carry. A handgun under 17oz is not a range gun. Every tool
is manufactured...
My guess is dirty chambers, never used your brand of bullets but have had some problems with coating on other brands. I'm very care in cleaning chambers they can get build up over time causing failure.
All I can give is opinion here, I will not use steel case ammo in most guns, Ak47 yes. I do not like the coating on steel case ammo it will cause failure to feed
IMO. I simply do not see the savings in poor ammo.
When I begin shooting 40 did not like the round but once I found a gun in that caliber that fit my hand my opinion changed, the Browning Hi Power and a CZ40B, both fun and a joy to shoot. Someone posted about the 180gr and that is true it does give less snap in recoil and if your a reloader easy...
Kahr pistols are tight, My mk9 never has failed but I ran it very wet during break in and clean it after shooting.
Honestly I find most auto troubles are related to how well there maintained of course not all cases but believe the rate of failures due to lack of cleaning is high.
I carry a...
