Lipsey special edition J frame in 38 and 32mag

I agree that the trigger is smooth for a J frame and it is easy to shoot in double action because of the predictable staging of the trigger.

Lipsey special edition J frame in 38 and 32mag

I ordered mine right after Shot Show and was actually surprised to grt one so soon. I had told the gun store that I would accept either one of the 32 magnum models but preferred the stainless one which was delivered.

Makarov Slide Closing On Mag Insert

The most common wear part on the Makarovs is the slide stop/slide release. It does seem that if you wack some of them hard enough that it can release the slide. There really is no reason to hit the magazine that hard. Seems to be the thing to do but all you need is to seat the magazine.

    3" Saturday

    Grips

I like Uncle Mike’s boot grips, if you can find them. They are rubber but not so tacky as to cling to clothes. Ebay is your best place to find them.

    Bulgarian Makarov Price

With some humor I never knew I had to have a reason to buy any gun. By reason I would probably have 3-5 guns total. The Makarov has an appeal due to its simplicity, reliability, and history. My truck gun is a well worn Bulgarian Makarov. Would I recommend them to everyone, no.

    I Like Grip Adapters

Two 32 magnums, the Charter Arms has a slightly modified BK adapter. The Taurus has one from Robertson Trading Post. Both sort of fit my hand like a glove !

    Charter Arms Pitbull 45acp?

Most of you already know about this but a friend showed me his “speed loader” for a 45acp revolver, it was an officer size 1911 magazine. Fits flat in your pocket !

    Range date

Last week I was able to take my 14 year old grandson for his first trip to the range. He shot a Henry lever action 22 and a model 35-1 S&W 22 revolver with a 6” barrel. He really enjoyed it, followed all safety instructions, and was quickly hitting the target at 15 yards. Money can’t buy these...

    Bulgarian Makarov Price

I like to use an online inflation calculator at times to get an idea of the price of something in certain years. $400 for that Bulgarian Makarov is a good deal at today’s prices. I have had about 30 different Makarovs over the last 15 years and still have 10. Enjoy it !

    9mm 1911 ,who would want one ?

It’s probably been said already but it was Colt that made the first 1911 in 9mm and it had an aluminum frame. As my hands and the rest of me gets older, I find my self shooting my 9mm 1911’s more than the 45acp. Had to give up on the 10mm…….

    10mm or .45 ACP?

Really a tough call for me between 45acp and 10mm. I think 45acp is a great revolver round and own one of the Brazilian contract Smiths and an Uberti with the 45 Colt and 45 acp cylinders. But shooting 10mm and 40S&W in the GP100 is neat too.

Any opinions on the .30 Super Carry cartridge

I like all handguns in 32 caliber but had no interest in the 30 Super Carry because of the guns offered. A year ago I bought a slightly used Shield Plus with ammo for $300 simply because I wanted to try it. Don’t regret it but my dream gun would be a steel or aluminum framed gun similar to a Sig...

Who are folks buying on-line ammo from. It's time to restock.

SGammo, Target Sports USA, PSA, and at times Sportsmans Outdoor Super Store. Bucking Horse Outpost is reliable and free shipping over $175. At times I have ordered Buffalo Bore from Academy, Cabela’s, and Bass Pro. Many times they offer free shipping on orders of $50 or more.

    32 ACP Day

Here is part of a listing for the 1944 made Beretta pistols. German Army issued 1944 dated Model 1935 Beretta Pistol in 7.65 caliber. This pistol bears the well known German Army acceptance stamp of a 4UT in an oval. This was the inspection mark used by the German Technical inspector at the...
