Thanks, I'm talking about the sliding pump tube part. Those have been interchangeable from 500 to 590. I'll get some pics of mine soon in case it helps anyone.
Guy I know broke a part of his H&R Pardner and they couldn't supply him with a replacement, and straight up 870 parts didn't fit. Considering you can get still get used Mossberg 500s for $200 used I'd have no reason to consider a Chinese gun.
Looking for a little guidance if anyone here really knows Mossberg action tubes. I've always read there are three versions: The one with the springs, the one with no dimples and a plastic ring, and the one with the dimples and no plastic ring. But I have a couple I scrounged up that are...
I picked up a cheap Mossberg 590 from 1990 today, which turned out to be an Intimidator model. That's a factory laser forend. It's missing the laser capsule itself. Anybody here own one? I'm trying to decide if it's worth fixing or I should sell to one of the guys who collect these things.
Thanks, but my problem is the opposite of that. The issue I have is the stop doesn't move far enough out of the way to reliably pop rounds out of the mag tube. I've stoned down the business end, as well as the tail (so I can maintain enough engagement of the shell rim.) That's given me the...
Bumping this thread. My replacement shell stop came from Numrich and it looks the same as the one the gun came with. I don't know if there's a change both are the wrong style, but looking online I don't see any different ones out there that fit this series of shotgun. Still trying to figure out...
I bought one this week for a price I couldn't turn down (speaking of that, these are not valuable guns--if you can live without an original box you can get one for around $500.) It's extremely cool but there's nothing it does well other than hold 19 rounds. I can't see why I'd seriously use it...
Even real companies didn't used to be so anal about it. I have a 1974 High Standard Riot model and the barrel is slightly under 18-3/16" from the factory.
The original was the same as the period replacement I bought. They're cast parts anyway. Not sure if they're wrong for this model year or if I'm missing something.
Picked up a 1974 High Standard Flite-King Riot gun last week. Oddly, my dream gun after seeing one in a 1965 Shooter's Bible when I was a kid. Good condition and doesn't appear to have been shot much at all.
One thing I need some help with, though. As I got the gun the "left cartridge stop"...
I might see if I get any good offers on the Benelli once it arrives. There's a guy in my state selling a brand new M2 Field with a 21" barrel below retail--that's more my speed. Could swap the foreend and mag extension.
Although the M2 Tactical has a pre-drilled&tapped receiver, so conceivably...
