Some states like Mass require either a reason to have a firearm and ammo in their state or a license. You can't just drive into the state with firearms and that includes ammo by itself.
I only clean when I get bored or when something needs special attention. Guns don't need to be cleaned near as often as many people think. You do need to keep it lubed though.
I have a similar story with my first handgun which was also an FM90 Hi Power. I sold it to a friend who later traded it in to a gunshop. 8 years later I spotted my exact FM90 on armslist and was able to get it back.
The P220 is a nice handgun but I'd take a P9s over it. The P9s is a nice shooter with it's roller delayed blowback and is mechanically interesting. I don't think a more complex service handgun exists and they were used by the Navy SEALs in between the MK22 and the MK23 when they needed a...
I do conceal it IWB at 4 o'clock.
L&M Precision Gunworks but he retired. I was one of the few that got their gun cut before he closed shop. 19 Charlie Tactical cuts Mark 23s for RMRs but his cut doesn't cowitness.
I carry my RMR equipped Mark 23 as my primary EDC. I'm yet to see a shooting decided based solely on the gun so I decided to simply not worry about it. I also don't believe a court case will ever be decided based on a legally owned gun. Closest I've seen to the gun deciding the court case is...
I carry my HK Mark 23 when I'm out and about and the Beretta 92X Compact when I need to be more concerned about concealing and want to AIWB.

I call them slide catches myself. Their primary function is to stop the slide after the magazine has been expended. Pressing the slide catch to chamber a round is just a bonus with modern handguns.
So how many rounds do you have downrange with your RMR equipped Glocks and do you actually run drills with them or just casually paper punch? The preference I've seen with competent red dot shooters is the speed.
Once one goes through that short transition period, they're not going to want to go back to just irons. I've never once talked to someone that was competent with a red dot that prefers irons.
