    Buckshot/Slug Choke

They're not for beginners, but paper hulls are fine to reload. You do have to inspect them more, and you have to know what to look for. The max # of loads is 6, sometimes less.

    Gun socks

Some of the gun socks used to come silicone impregnated. Ballistol won't hurt wood, but it will darken it. I think you made the best choice, AF.

    Never been hunting, need help!

BTDT. I solved the problem of not being able to buy guns thing by getting a job at a gun shop. I can bring home any gun, it's just a matter of how long I become an indentured servant.;)

    ammo interchangeability

The last statement in each of these paragraphs are both wrong. Firing 5.56 in a .223 chambered Handi-Rifle will almost always cause the rifle to pop open and the case will stick, with the primer showing signs of very high pressure. As for bolt action .223s firing 5.56 ammo, in  most rifles, the...

What have you done in the reloading room today

Sorted hulls from yesterday's trap shooting. I have several friends that shoot AAs and STSs but don't reload. I shot 100 shells yesterday, went home with about 300 hulls.

    Teaching my Son to Reload

I tried to get both my sons interested in reloading when they each were about 10. (4 years between them) The older one showed little interest, but he still likes shooting my reloads. The younger one thought it was fun for a while, but other interests soon overtook it. Last year he decided he...

    Finally in the club!

I'm a member of two good clubs, would join more if I could afford it. One Is a Trap (and 5 stand) club about an hour away, I shoot winter leagues there. The other is 20 minutes away, 2 traps, 200 yd. Rifle, 50 yard pistol & rimfire, archery indoors as well as an outdoor course and practice...

That's the one I like. I rented one at a range, shot it very well, but still trying to justify it price wise.

    7.62x39 v. 7.62x51 short range wounding differences

Ah, but the .308 Win. was not mentioned. 7.62x51 NATO is a different cartridge. 150 gr. bullet, slower FPS.

    7.62x39 v. 7.62x51 short range wounding differences

More temporary cavity, perhaps, but at 150 or less, either is going to sting a bit.

I don't want a Sig P365. Tell me why I'm wrong or offer options.

Nothing wrong with the P365, Hellcat is a good alternative, and just to bait all the Taurus haters, I recommend and carry the Gx4.

    7.62x39 v. 7.62x51 short range wounding differences

Heavier bullet going faster says the x51 has the edge. Bullet design could change that if not restricted to FMJ.
