    Not much longer, maybe.

Your story reminds me of my gun club. 40 years ago (my 20s) we would sit and listen to all the "old bastards" talk about their health issues. Now, we're the "old bastards" talking about our issues. Everything comes full circle eventually.

Unless I misread your post. Smith did make 4" stainless 657s and Lew Horton did release at least 2 different 3" 657s.

If I remember correctly there was a limited run for a wholesaler from Illinois a few years ago. If I wasn't so lazy I go thru the pile and dig them out.

    You know that sick feeling

Some people advocate for 3 shot groups from a cold barrel. I agree, I can't remember the last time I took more than 2 shots on an elk or deer.

Mark Mark, put the pair of Blackhawks in the rear view mirror, you don't need them. Look for a clean used Blackhawk instead. You need to crawl before you walk.

Sorry, no green door for you. The green door requires a Freedom Arms or stainless Marlin. There's still hope for you.

You're in the penthouse. If you see Mark Mark lurking on the sidewalk make sure the doorman doesn't let him in, we have our standards.

Sorry, not to burst your bubble but keys to the penthouse are only available to model 58s or a GENUINE 3" Lew Horton owners. To see what's behind the green door you need a Freedom Arms 41 or stainless Marlin in 41. Keep climbing.
