Yeah, the 215gr SWC kills them dead, I just wasn't getting blood trails. Hopefully the JHC's will anchor them quicker.I won't comment on the loads, but that 170 gr Sierra JHC is a dandy bullet in the .41...holds together as well as the 210's and offers greater speed with less recoil.
Maybe my never-fired, brand-new-in-box 1970 unconverted Blackhawk will earn me the position of Chairman of the Board, then. And, showing your unconverted Ruger 3-screw at the door grants you admission to the Old Breed Room.
We have an open bar...
That might put me in the lead for points....You guys are killing me! My ribs hurt from laughing so much!!!
Don't forget to ask about the extra points that you can get for having a bullet mold for the 41 Mag!
Seeing that my 58 is an S-serial, where does that put me?Sorry, not to burst your bubble but keys to the penthouse are only available to model 58s or a GENUINE 3" Lew Horton owners. To see what's behind the green door you need a Freedom Arms 41 or stainless Marlin in 41. Keep climbing.
You're in the penthouse. If you see Mark Mark lurking on the sidewalk make sure the doorman doesn't let him in, we have our standards.Yeah, the 215gr SWC kills them dead, I just wasn't getting blood trails. Hopefully the JHC's will anchor them quicker.

In addition to the keys to the penthouse, you also get valet parking. A first-year production M57 or M58 would gain you unlimited access behind the green door.Seeing that my 58 is an S-serial, where does that put me?
Sorry, no green door for you. The green door requires a Freedom Arms or stainless Marlin. There's still hope for you.In addition to the keys to the penthouse, you also get valet parking. A first-year production M57 or M58 would gain you unlimited access behind the green door.
Both my M57 and M58 are S prefix guns.
There are quite a few of them, but because I already have so many projectiles on the shelf there hasn't been any need to pour any of them yet.Jcon72, just curious what bullet molds that you have. I have 2, an original H&G Keith Type SWC ( I think its a 258, too lazy to do look) and an Accurate mold in the same bullet. I searched long and hard for the H&G, finally gave up and ordered the Accurate mold and as luck would have it found the H&G.
Yeah, I've been watching him from way up here where the air is thin. He keeps staring longingly at the revolving door but Security won't let him. The way he's acting a bit erraticly is starting to worry me a bit, too. You're in the penthouse. I have Lyman (or Ideal) in 410026, 41027, (3) 41032's, 410610, and a couple of 410459's. A couple of RCBS in 41-210-SWC and 41-210-KT, and a NEI 6-cav 411-190. Also have a (brand new) rare, antique Ideal 2-cav combo mould with one cav being 410-426 and the other in 350-319. Not technically for .41 Mag, though. Those bullets are for .351 WSL and 401 WSL.

I must misunderstand what the green door opens to....is it the laundry chute?Sorry, no green door for you. The green door requires a Freedom Arms or stainless Marlin. There's still hope for you.
Were all the old 58's S-prefix guns... or did they continue with the 58 after the SN changeover?
My 58 is the only S-prefix S&W I've ever had, I believe.
The relatively short original production is one of the reasons M58's are desirable, beside them being .41 Magnum. It's also the only revolver I can think of other than the M26 that did not have an engineering change during its entire run, so all of them are no-dash guns. However, the M26 is basically a unicorn.@Charlie98 Model 58 S models were made from 64-67 then the n model 67-77 for a total of 20k model 58’s if everything thing I have read is correct. I’m not sure how many S model 58’s they made but they only ran for 4 years
How dare you…with thoughts like that you won’t even be able to stand on the sidewalk and look at the building.Glock should make a .41 mag pistol
An older gentleman told me there were approximately 1,800 of the S-series model 58 made out of the total 20,000 production run, but I don't know how accurate that statement is.@Charlie98 Model 58 S models were made from 64-67 then the n model 67-77 for a total of 20k model 58’s if everything thing I have read is correct. You can't regain what you never had.Sad to say, but I must agree.
Maybe Mark just bumped his head and he will come back to what senses he ever had, really soon!
