.41 Mag Association

Charlie.... Lipsey's had a run of Flat Tops years ago and I managed to get this one....really wanted the 4-5/8" model but this is a good one...Stocks are rosewood from rifle blank I've been whittling on for years. IIRC, I think they also had a run of Flat Top SS ones as well...others here may know for sure.

Best Regards Rod

Those Blackhawks look GREAT! Wished they were not so expensive! Would love a short barrel in Stainless!

I think SA is the way togo with .41 Mag!

Well it’s Saturday and I finally picked it up.
S&W model 57 8 3/8 no dash, pinned and recessed lower serial number N1250xx.
It’s a factory Pinto, blue frame, nickel barrel and cylinder. Wood presentation box, so the story goes…new in the box unfired. I see I slight drag line on the cylinder but I’m not sure how much handling it has to see to develop it. I will be on the sidewalk talking to the doorman until someone lets me inside.

I would agree. At the end of the day, they are just Ruger Blackhawks.

I don't know if I was aware that Ruger made a .41 in a Flattop model. I've sworn off Ruger SA's in general, but I always liked the feel and handling of the .44SPC Flattop I had for a bit. Too bad there were so many things wrong with it. I don't know what I would do if I actually saw a .41 Flattop...

A 4-5" Redhawk in .41 is still pretty high on the ToGet list... nice gaggle you have there! Whenever I see one, it's either A) a 7", or B) priced into the Stratosphere.
If I remember correctly there was a limited run for a wholesaler from Illinois a few years ago. If I wasn't so lazy I go thru the pile and dig them out.

Took the Dan Wesson, with the new 6" barrel tube, to the range yesterday. I was also testing the Xtreme 210grn PFP (plated flat point) bullets I picked up... 2 loads, one over Unique, one over IMR4227. Both shot pretty well... when I did my part. Shooting indoors, the plated bullets seriously cut down on the cloud of death (lead vapor) in the booth... which was my intention.

The new barrel is actually from a blued set... but I just put the stainless shroud over it. Shoots just fine...

I don't know what it is, but the Dan Wesson handles recoil like no other revolver I've ever had.... and it's not just the weight.

Shooting double-action, off hand, at 10 yards...

nice loading, nice shooting!!

Well, I read your comment as 6-3/4" but have never heard of such a beast and was confused. But that happens a lot these days.
Sorry! my grammer is mostly dumpster fire.

Looking for a 6” pre-lock Smith and 3“ or 4” pre -lock smith. I would prefer Shinny! .41 Mag = Hollywood!

Those Xtremes do just fine for back yard plinking. A few years a guy was buying a new home and didn't feel like moving all his bullets, so he sold me 3,400 of those Xtremes for $225 shipped. That's what I call shooting on a budget!
