The place I shoot at (mostly steel and IDPA matches) is 60 miles away. You bet your arse that gas cost is a big consideration for me now. Add to that the increasing cost of ammo.
For a routine IDPA match it costs me about $65 between gas, match fee, and ammo. Getting to be too expensive now...
The older style Blade-Tech looks just like the Comp-Tac. Not sure why they don't make it any more. I have 2 of them, one for a 1911 and one for a 4" XD. I recently purchased one like the one you pictured on the left and although it's great for IDPA, it sucks for concealment. Sticks out quite...
WOW! Talk about dredging something up from the past...
So, I still have the gun...shot the heck out of it for the past three years without changing a thing.
Recently decided to get a 9MM 5" and sent it off to Springer Precision and Scott did an awesome job on the trigger, sights, and mag...
It measures .049" best I can tell. Seems like the same on another gun that's working fine. You can also see where it's starting to peen the notch. This is after only one match...about 50 rounds and only 2 or 3 locks back between reloads. The rest was from me trying to smooth out the stop...
Okay guys...just so's you know...I have been around the 1911 block a couple of times by this time in my life. Wilson, McCormick, or Mecgar...take your pick. Same symptoms with them all. It's not the magazines.
It seems to me like the plunger tube is too long and the gap between the tube...
I have a Kimber Custom Classic that has a problem where the slide stop will not fully engage into the notch in the slide on the last round. Sometimes it'll go about 3/4 of the way in and sometimes it'll go in a 1/4 and others not catch at all.
I have verified this with 2 different slide...
Carrying an aluminum frame 4" 1911 at 3:30 IWB for a couple of years wreaked havoc on my right side. Developed something along the lines of what is known as "runner's knee" and had to have about 6 months of physical therapy to correct it. It affected me from my lower back all the way down to...
Anyone have any idea why one cannot carry to a polling place? It's that way there, in Florida, and in NC as well. Do fights routinely break out at polling places? Are they afraid someone will be upset with someone else's vote and start shooting? Or, is this just another example of stupid...
I think with the old Winchester closing news, stuff like this might become harder and more expensive to get...might just get an 870 Express on sale somewhere...Dick's has them for ~$220 until tomorrow.

Hey all,
I am looking for a 26"-28" barrel for my 1200. Looking at prices for new stuff...they seem expensive. Can anyone point me to a source that has affordable (<$100) barrels for shotguns, specifically a Winchester 1200?
Thanks,
Greg
That's often what results when a county elects a corrupt politician as Sheriff. Ken Jenne is a dirtbag of legendary proportions. I have a friend that started there earlier this year. I pray he doesn't take the low road like some many seem to do these days.

This guy has pretty much what I want...just need some more input so I only have to do this once.
I'll check with Correia too...
