Hey pallies. The title sorta of says it; what scope would you recommend for a S&W Model 500 in .500 Magnum? I'd prefer to stick to quality, higher-end makes, while cost is less of a concern.
Hey, thanx!
Neat concept, but I doubt it will really take off. The 9x19mm Parabellum is so well established at this point, I'd imagine few will bother with a new cartridge, even if you pick up an extra shot or two in a carry piece. It kind of reminds me of the .327 Federal Magnum; nice performance, pick...
One of the business enterprises I own is an 01FFL. We received a copy of this missive this morning. It is legit in the sense that the regulatory agency so referenced sent this out. What this will fully portent is, of course, is a matter of speculation.
P.S. I, nor the business establishment...
I have one of those S&W 686 7-shooters and it has been great. Beautifully made, nice fancy grips, dead on accurate, and recoil very pleasant with both .38 Specials and standard .357 Magnum loads. Since that was on OP's list, a plus one for that option. :)
The easiest to dump and at the best price, at least in my experience, was Gunbroker. For all it's warts and wrinkles, it does work well enough to move items.
Local shops are another option, but here, they are many degrees worse than worthless, and staffed by mouth-breathers. Your area...
Hey pallies. So, I've been downsizing a lot of things in life, including dumping some guns. I've kept what I really like or likely will use, but sold what doesn't make sense, so essentially done with the gun side of it.
But I was working on cleaning out the storage area where we keep most of...
That is really abysmal customer service, even by Optics Planet standards. (My experience with them has been mixed; sometimes great, others terrible. I won't buy again, though, due to their current business practices.)
I used to have a Marlin 1895 "Cowboy" model in .45/70. Balanced great, 9+1 .45/70 rounds on tap, octagonal barrel, and just worked. Never hunted with it; just enjoyed shooting on sunny days. Seems like reason enough.
Panics no longer drive buy/sell choices for me. I actually sold off more guns in recent memory than bought.
But answer the original question: Yes, I bought and overpaid for ammo during the panic. Why? I wanted ammo for certain guns and I don't even remotely give a damn about the present cost.
Sadly, this has not been the case since 41F. The change has made Trust filings mildly more annoying since. Not knocking trusts, after all our family has had one for years for for many NFA items (from every category sans DD), so I know there are real benefits.
Hey thanx all. I just ordered 5 15-rounders and 2 30-rounders, all KCIs. Should be a good start. (Still looking for a flush-fitting 5-rounder, though this one might not be necessary after doing some reading.)
Hey pals. So I just bought a M1 Carbine from Gunbroker and will need to acquire magazines to feed said. I'd like to buy a small stash of 15-rounders, a couple 30-rounders for the grins, and one 5-rounder.
I'm seeing a number of options online from the big vendors. Questions:
Any...
Thanks all for the feedback; I appreciate it. Sounds like enough negative to pass on this and continue the research.
(For whatever it is worth, I am looking for a stainless Magnum Research BFR in .44 Magnum with either a 5.5" or 7.5" barrel. So far in the search online, no luck finding a...
