Hey pals. I've been trying to locate a particular revolver but, unsurprisingly, the overwhelming majority of vendors are sold out. I did find exactly what I'm looking for, and at a reasonable price, from a company called Botach. To the best of my recollection I have never bought from them.

Any experience with this outfit? Good, bad, or something else?

Thanks.

Seen people complaining about shipping times and such, but they been around for a while. They aren't a scam site or anything.

I see they've moved to Las Vegas. I ordered from them and actually picked stuff up at will call when they were in LA.

No experience with guns, but they did follow through very well with MOLLE equipment and other gear.

Good luck, I hope they come through for you quickly .

Stay safe.

I placed an order with Botach last June 18 of 2020 (last year) for ten ETS AR15 translucent magazines and ten ETS Glock translucent magazines. The shipment was short one ETS AR15 translucent magazine and two ETS Glock translucent magazines.
I notified them of the shortages via their web site and they sent me an email acknowledging my complaint. As of this date I have not received any of the shorted magazines.
I have tried to call them numerous times and have only received a recording.
From what i saw in online reviews at the time, they do not have a very good reputation.
My advice to you is not to do business with Botach.

I had great luck several times with botach. then it went to hell.
I got a tracking #, watched it, then no movement. (They charged my card) Contacted them and the excuses started. We moved, etc. Demanded a refund. They said it was coming. No refund. I think my cc company ended up eating it.

Botach has such a poor reputation on AR15.com that merely mentioning them gets your post deleted.

That said, I've bought from them several times, both when they were in LA and after their move to Vegas.
If its "backordered" you'll never get it.

I haven't had any issues ordering gun parts from Botach. Last thing I ordered from them was a rail section to go on a shotgun magazine tube to add a flashlight (or something) Got it in a little over a week. About 2 years ago. If they have gone hill since then, I haven't experienced it.

In general, they may not have it on the shelf and the order will languish until they meet the minimum vendors requirements. Then the batch get ordered - which in this climate could result in it getting back ordered, to be shipped at some future time. Actual in stock shelf quantity is something difficult to determine. Phone calls and wait times on hold to go find the warehouse shelf have been successful in determining what is actually in stock, or not. Otherwise, reports in previous panics of up to eight months for receipt of the product are not uncommon.

Major vendors with stock control who work hard at having the back end inventory kept up to date and published on the product page deserve your order more than someone who is guessing. Of recent note, my spouse has twice ordered a swimming pool and got both refunded. They know the SKU is bad, and the website will show a pool available because it's been ordered in the last 18 months. Not in stock, ordered. All you get is a skimmer. We now have two. They have never fixed the SKU issue and haven't fixed the website issue ever. It took a local brick and mortar dealer to inform us their web site will lie to you.

I wonder if they are using a Botach website vendor? Anyway, a business more than 30 days behind on cyclic counts will quickly become second tier.

I've worked auto parts 12 years before retiring and it was a constant battle. Managers who refused to support cyclic inventory eventually get replaced in a few years. It's documented incompetence and bad business. Botach has that kind of reputation, the "blind hog can find an acorn every now and then."

Thanks all for the feedback; I appreciate it. Sounds like enough negative to pass on this and continue the research.

(For whatever it is worth, I am looking for a stainless Magnum Research BFR in .44 Magnum with either a 5.5" or 7.5" barrel. So far in the search online, no luck finding a vendor with one in stock.)

I would bet a paycheck that they do NOT have that revolver in stock. They list the world and then drop ship or order it when they feel like it and then, again, when they feel like it you may get it. Unless the price went up in the year or so you wanted, and then you won't get it. They stung me years ago and I will never give them a chance to do it again. Many other better companies out there.

Hard pass for me.
