Words of wisdom......hmmm.......
Think carefully about your firearm purchases. I have literally owned well over 100 firearms at one time....all because I thought I had to have more. All the way from an NAA Mini revolver chambered in .22 Short to a CZ Safari rifle in .458 Win Mag, and that...
A genuine HK91. Imported in 1981. The overall excellent condition of the rifle is part of the reason I do not shoot it much - I haven't in a couple years.
That, plus the fact I have a few other .308/7.62 chambered rifles, including an Imbel FAL and a M1A1 Chinese made clone.

My recommendation is for a 3rd Gen G19.
Ammo is much cheaper than the .40 S&W chambering of the G23.
Plus recoil is more manageable with the G19.

Right now in a big cardboard box or a small wood and glass display case. Not sure how they ended up in the display case, they just did. Some are kept in my range bag/s and some are kept in my grab and go rifle cases. A few are even permanently kept in my vehicle.
Most of my auto rifle mags...
When is it a inch too short and a inch too far? :uhoh:
Over penetration is rarely the issue, under penetration is what causes the problems.

Rob
.22 LR around 2,500-3,000 rds
Defensive pistol ammo 500 rds per pistol
Evil Black Rifle ammo (.223) 1,000 rds per rifle
Hunting rifle ammo (.30-30, .308, .30-06, etc) 100 - 150 rds per rifle

Rob
Since you like short PGO shotguns let me throw this out to you. Its a very "interesting" concept to say the least
In my opinion its still very controversial from a legal perspective. Note that the letters in support of this shown at the link posted are only BATFE "opinion letters", and do...
Barry the Bear - let me say that I am glad you like your set up. Items such as this are very subjective to personal tastes.
With that said, I can not stand pistol grip only shotguns. In my opinion there are more problems with them than situations they resolve. There is only ONE caveat, and...
I have owned multiple .243 Win chambered rifles over the years. The one thing that comes to mind when I think about my reloading experiences is that none of them shot lighter weight bullets very well.
Every one of them shot 95-105 grain bullets the most accurately.
Some shot 85-87 grain...
Very weird and yes a new low in ammunition sales. That plus the 9mm FMJ ammo @ $65 per box of 50.
I haven't seen any .22 LR at my local Walmart in a long time. They tell me some comes in once or twice a week and it sold out that night.
Hopefully we will see as rapid of a drop in ammo...
Mine has been complete for some time now. Presently I am selling off all the other guns and restructuring my entire meager collection so that I will only have firearms on hand that I actually shoot. Not ones that only take up space in the back of the safe.
All in all I do not plan on...
Let me answer the question this way. If I could use any ammo and cost was not an issue here is what I would choose:
CCI Mini Mags in .22 LR both solid and Hollow Point
Speer Gold Dot in all center fire handgun chamberings
Nosler Partition or Ballistic Tip for most hunting rifle...
All I can say is that I have been waiting about 7 months, going on 8, and still have not gotten my form 1 back yet. This was done through a "Trust" so would have thought that may speed the process up some. But from what I am reading and hearing, Trust or Individual purchase it makes no...
I SBS'd a Remington 870 and put my Trust's info (manufacturer) on the barrel. Per BATFE rules that is OK. There is not enough room to put the info for most trusts in front of the loading port on the bottom of the receiver. The side would be OK.
While I do not own a Stoeger SxS, I do own a...
