Mostly plastic 30cal ammo cans. Bulk loads just loose in the can. Test loads or short-run loads in baggies in the can. Made my own laser printed labels for load data. Stick on baggies, then cover that with a piece of clear shipping tape (labels don’t stick all that well).
A bit in plastic...
I've done both, but the only thing I use my dry tumbler for now is to clean One Shot or the like off already primed brass. Not going to do that a lot, I'm persnickety about corncob stuck in the primer holes. May not matter, but I just have to tap, tap, tap to get it out.
So for me, it's the...
I believe it's yellow Heet that's methanol. Good fuel for backpacking stoves. The Heet in the red bottle is isopropyl alcohol. Or at least about 99%.
Other lube recipes, if you want to go the DIY route instead of forking out for commercial:
For pistol (yes, I lube pistol too, because of...
I check my 4 load manuals plus online data for each new load combo. For that reason alone, I prefer Hodgdon/Win/IMR, for their great online data. Have a little Alliant powder too, but their site is more frustrating/tedious to use.
Just got some Shooters World Tactical Rifle, haven’t played with...
Ballistol mixes with water?! I gotta try it. I like the stuff, but the smell doesn’t like me. This might help with that, and use up the liquid Ballistol I have.
I used the Home Health one, but when it’s gone I’ll get some PEG 75 lanolin. Water soluble, so easier to remove. For brass, maybe a soak rather a wet tumble again.
As Stumpy said, you can use the Lee Bench Prime with an RCBS Universal hand primer tray. You can load 100 primers much more easily, and if a jam does occur, slide the chute lock a couple of times to clear it. The RCBS tray does require a bit of sanding or filing off the top of the chute to fit...
Franklin, NC Walmart has a small selection of powders, CCI primers, RCBS dies, press kit, misc. accessories. One town over, in Sylva, NC, the Walmart has nothing except a bit of black powder.
I think it varies. I heard about this online, but the one Walmart near me that has reloading stuff isn’t running any discounts at all. Checked Tuesday.
Yep, the bottle looks the same, but with a different top. Reading the instructions, you move the valve from your original hopper to this new bottle.
I’ll probably get one, when I need a little something to round out a Midway order to get free shipping.
Well, the adapter's clear, so you can see through it to know you have some powder, but you gotta pay attention to that smaller area, or just know you started with plenty. So yeah, not perfect.
Edit: Ugh, just realized: you can't just dump a test drop back in the top!
Also, the red hoppers have...
Lee is coming out with a handy-looking powder measure bottle adapter for use with its powder measures:
$8 from Lee, doesn't seem available yet from retailers.
I’ve been thinking about trying that. Sort of what the guy here recommended, swapping the clip out for an O ring:

I fell into reloading by inheriting a bunch of guns, and everything to reload for them. My regret is that I didn’t get into it when my relative was still with us, so I could have learned from him and done it with him. I just didn’t know how enjoyable I would find the craftsmanship of making my...
Shooting anything at all without hearing protection will cause everyone you know to start to mumble and mutter. Their lips move, but nothing comes out but whispers and kind of a low jumbled up something. Don’t know what’s wrong with people anymore, kind of feel sorry for them sometimes.
Amen to that. I just got the Lee bench primer, but that little triangle tray gave me fits. Didn’t like the folding, the snap closure, and that it was too small for large primers. So I swapped it out for the tray from my RCBS Universal hand primer. Just a little sanding off the top of the chute...
Not so much putting it away and it creeping back out, but I do have a situation where every time I need my calipers, they’re not in their assigned parking spot. Or it’s my reading glasses. Or my case of shell holders. Or my 9mm die set. Or my little crimp remover doohickey. Or, lord help my...
I've read where some had a problem with the lanolin not coming off well in their tumbler, or it stuck to their pins or tumbler drum, made sort of a gray mess. Haven't had that problem, but if I did, I'd soak brass for a half hour or so in sudsy hot water to get off most of the lube, then wet...
