The Rossi 30-30s will unload the mag tube by pressing down on the loading gate and the round will "pop" out one by one.
Loading is push down gate push in round.
Unloading is push down gate pull out round.
One thing for sure is the 350 Legend is here to stay. The 400 Legend I don't see it's staying power, honestly. Like you already said get a supply of brass and bullets just in case.
You've got a 44mag and 45-70 the 400L is somewhere in between. You would gain having a rimless cartridge and some...
I voted for the Ruger American Target only because thats what I have and for what I use it for, squirrels, practice, and just plain fun it's more accurate than it needs to be.
For a factory made target rifle only my vote is OTHER for a Bergarga B14R. My best friend has one and it's crazy...
The 7mm08 is IMO what the .308 should've been all along. To me it does all I've ever asked it to do. I even use my hunting loads at the target range too. Shot it as far 835 yards and done well. Mostly 500yds at most now.
I won't shoot at live animals that far as I have roughly 400 yards as my...
You have me really wanting to mess with my wife's R95 and AI it and do the trigger work you did. But I mentioned to her about working on it to make it better, and she said my rifle is perfect the way it is and leave it alone. I'll have live it through you lol. I do have a Henry Single Shot I...
It's so weird these several people that have this round, and have actually shot it all tell of its praises but have ZERO factual evidence to back it up. Does not a single person with this cartridge not own a chronograph or own a camera to at least show pics of a loaded round and a fired case...
Just want to clarify 2600-2650fps with a 150gr bullet, 2.260 COAL, 52k pressure max and we can presume case capacity of 38gr of H20 and a 20 inch barrel
SO less pressure, less case capacity, less barrel length, and same bullet weight than another 30 Cal cartridge that is acutally SAAMI approved...
Haven't gotten COAL, bullet make, what firearm it was tested in, what cartridge case was used, what primer was used. All we have is what is on the website and whats been said here.
Let's just wait and see a video of this cartridge in a real firearm shot over a chronograph or better yet in front of the new Garmin.
Let's not hold our breath tho.
Not explicitly I don't believe so, but it was said he used 6PPC cases which are 30gr water capacity, and gained 5-8gr of capacity with his cartridge. So I presumed at best it's 38gr H20 capacity.
6mm PPC case holds roughly 30gr of water he says 5-8gr can be gained with his design. So a case that holds at most 38gr of water, a 150gr bullet a 20 inch barrel can get 2600-2650fps at 52k max psi...I just don't see it happening.
What length barrel?? You do know that the 30 Rem AR with a max pressure of 55kpsi and 44gr H20 case capacity can only manage to get a 150gr bullet to 2700fps in the real world out of real firearms. And you mean to convince us that with lower max pressure and less case capacity you're nipping on...
More time under the pressure curve increases dwell time, which I see you've addressed or at least tried to with the pigtail "gas tubs" spelling is direct from your website, and the AGB. but to a benefit wouldn't that also require a longer barrel?
I'm no cartridge designer and I'm no physicist...
I'm glad you're enjoying the R95, my wife sure does enjoy hers, haven't shot it very much but she picked it out off the rack and now it'll be her main woods deer rifle. Hers is the 20" barrel just like yours, she said the 16 didn't point as nice and wasn't as balanced. You're making me wanna...
My 7.62x39 is a Midway USA special AR Stoner, its made by Bear Creek Arsenal. It has been 100% reliable from day one and fantastically accurate. Not with steel case stuff but with the American made Hornady, Federal, or my reloads.
It's the cheapest AR upper I have but it's also one of the most...
When it comes to Bolt Action Rifle barrels and long distance, competitive shooting, a well known and even nationally known local gunsmith says "if the barrel starts with a B, it's gonna shoot great.Bartlein, Broughton, Brux."
