I bought this 1897 for 169 bucks and it works perfectly, aside from the extractor not wanting to go around the shell. The right side extractor seems to lean too far in toward the interior of the receiver and wont fit around the rim of the shotgun shell in the chamber. Looking at the bolt, there...
Just wanted to share a photo of this little holster. That's my Glock 43 in it.
If you're like me and really prefer an OWB holster to an IWB, I can't recommend one of these enough. This one is made of buffalo, I believe, and I was honestly surprised how freaking nice it is, especially for the...
I'm building a simple muzzle loading pistol, and I was just curious about this. I am threading a breech plug, but is there any particular reason I can't screw it in and then weld it too?
I'm looking at ruger sp101 4+" barrel. I'm trying to decide between the 357 and 327. I only have about one more question. I have handled a 327 but not a 357.
Is the 357 the exact same size and near same weight as the 327, just 5 round instead of 6?
...platform. Very concealable, very shootable, VERY cool.
A classically-inspired revolver alternative to the LCP, p3AT, Seacamp, et al.
Please let me know if anyone has bothered to read this, and let me know what you think. Thanks!
Thanks,

I have a springfield 1911 I would like to have partially engraved. I dont need anything one of a kind or fancy- thos aint a 3000 dollar gun. This gun is polished stainless on the side of the slide and matte/bead blasted on top of the slide. See the picture below. I want some classic scrollwork...
thinking of picking up a lee pro 1000 to start loading 357 magnum. Just curious what you guys end up paying per round to reload 357 these days. I can buy as low as .30 cents per round. Hoping i can reload closer to 20 per round.
Recently, I've been experimenting with different holster locations for carrying my glock 19. As usual, the only place that doesn't print like crazy when I bend or the wind blows my overshirt against my body is the 1 o'clock position, just right of my fly. Not overly comfortable when sitting, but...
I love long barreled 357's. I was thinking about picking up the 7" or the Talo 7" soon. I'm assuming, being a smith, that they are good quality guns and it will outlive me. Any input positive or negative on the gun, or is there another gun I should consider as well in the sub-800 dollar price range?
Ok, i got over-ambitious and took my p938 totally apart aside from the trigger. I'm not sure which direction the sear is supposed to face and how the sear spring interacts with the sear and extractor.
I want another 1911. I will carry it some, but it probably wont replace my p938 as primary edc. I will shoot it a lot. Here are my requirements
Prefer under 1,000 dollars
Accuracy is very important to me, particularly for playing at the range.
5" barrel preferred
Stainless steel a MUST
9mm...
(Mod, I appear to have messed up. Will you please move to the blackpowder forum?)
I came across these photos on my computer, and I realized I never shared pictures of my TVM made "Southern Rifle" with my fellow High Roaders.
To date, the most I've ever spent on a gun. I've had it over a year...
I don't consider myself a terrible shot (though others might!), but I cannot get this damn sig to shoot straight to save my life- which is not as much a figure of speech as you'd think, since this is a carry pistol. I shoot a lot of small handguns, and haven't had any issues handling or shooting...
Does anyone know if these Chiappa "1873" single actions have the transfer bar safety that allows all 6 rounds to be carried safely? I can't find information searching or on their website's product description. anyone know? neat little 22/22wmr conversion for 150 bucks on sale has me intrigued...
I have a full sized parkerized para 1911, and im about to order a new slide for aesthetic reasons. Can i just check it for burring and slap it on my gun or is there much more to it than that? Ive heard the term "fitting" a slide but usually in reference to custom frame guns?
Hi all. Traded in a pietta SAA today to pick up my first 1911. Its a century international "elite" full size. I'm just wondering if this is safe to carry condition 1 and if it has a firing pin block or not.
While I'm at it I been thinking of buying a stainless slide and having it ported and...
I have a h&r top break in 38 s&w. Today at Academy i found a single box of fiocchi 38 s&w SHORT. never heard of it in my life. Is this the same round? Ive never seen 38 s&w ammo in a store before.
Are american indian bows, lets say a cherokee self bow, as long and cumbersome as the 6-7 foot ELB's?
I want a very simple primitive bow for target and deer hunting, so a huge bow may be an issue. I dont want a recurve. Being cherokee, id really like an authentic cherokee bow, but would like...
