First of all, my brass prep method is as follows:
1. Deprime (universal decapper)
1a. If brass is really dirty/sooty, rinse with soap/water to not kill my media
1b. Tumble
2 Inspect
3 lube brass
4 resize/prime
5 tumble again to remove lube/polish mirror shine
Is this process ok? Will the corn...
I have my Lee bullet seating die and it isn't giving consistant OAL. My brass is from 1.477-1.451 also because the Lyman trimmer isn't consitant at all either. (truly a POS, can't wait till I get my giraud)
The bullet seating is varying from 2.234-2.253. Is this variance because of the...
I know hornady makes great stuff (I love my VMax bullets) and was wondering if the quality and accuracy traveled over to the bulk bullets as well?
I mean for 7 cents a round, it is extremely tempting.
I loaded up these cases about a month ago but never shot them because I was unsure about the dent towards the neck of the case. I know that when you shoot them, small dents will disappear but what about these? Do these dents still fall under that category?
I have a load that uses 24.5 grains of H335 behind a 55 grain VMax bullet which works great in my bolt. I want to get some just plain plinking ammo and all I've found are 62 grain bullets:

I'm wondering if I can use the same...
I've picked up a whole bunch of brass and finally got through it all so now I'm finally having to start trimming it down to 1.750. Can I just trim the cases and load them up or do I have to debur the edges as well?
I bought a new cutter head for my trimmer and I cannot for the life of me unscrew the existing cutter head off. Does anyone have any guidance?
And just to make sure, you all spin the handle clockwise correct?
So I'm building my own AR and I've got all the parts on order or received except for the barrel and gas block.
So I want to get a krieger barrel in 16" (they are the best from all my research)
I'm looking on their website and I'm having some difficulty in figuring out how to order...
Hey,
I have a bunch of range brass and I was wondering how to check if the brass is to thin. I remember something about a paperclip and a ridge or something. I tried googling the site to find anything but I couldn't.
Thanks in advance
Bought a Lyman universal case trimmer and sat down to trim some cases but found it wasn't doing any cutting whatsoever. So either I'm not doing it right or it needs some a new cutterhead.
Also is the carbide cutterhead worth it? Alot of people were complaining about it not being centered.
The number they have on their website is: 262-673-3075 and I've tried calling it but it just gives me a busy tone the entire time.
Is there another number?
Can you? I've tried to unscrew the thing on the top (which is threaded) and I can't get it to budge. I've wedged one of the wrenches in a vice and still can't get it to move.
I'm trying to unscrew it to see if it will make it size lower down on the case since it's stopping about 3/4 of...
Whether I FL resize or Collet resize it leaves a ring on the top millimeter or 2 of the case. I don't see this on factory brass so I was just wondering if something was wrong.
I have a lee classic cast turret press and I'm using the lee deluxe die set.
station 1: decapping/FLRS or collet
station 2: powder
station 3: seat/crimp bullet
But I have an extra hole in the turret, should I put something else there (split up the seating/crimping) or just index it twice...
Hey, I've been reading the forums for a while to get as much knowledge so I don't ask a bunch of already answered questions. (that bothers me to no end)
But I'm going to be reloading .223, and .45 ACP later on possibly. I've done my research and at my level I don't want to get a single...
