Convince me that a .380 is in the arena with a 38 spl

I feel naked without my 12 gauge "Convince me that the 380 auto is in the same arena as the 38 special." Using modern ammunition, both calibers penetrate sufficiently to hit vitals and stop a threat. Convinced???

    HELLLLP! {Ruger Mark 3}

MK3...Yeah I have one of those I was wondering what that beaten-up, half chop stick was doing in my tool box. NOW I remember!:cuss::cuss::cuss:

    July Rimfire Match:

No sandbags No bags, bipods, or rests of any kind for sporting class, only shooting sticks for that one. Resting your elbows on the bench, et cetera is permitted. The purpose is to create a bigger challenge and better mimic typical field conditions. OK got it Thanks Mav

    Scope Advice

Mueller I have the same 8-32x44 target dot that Wingman posted mounted on my Savage model 25(.223). It works very well for me punching paper at 100 - 200 yrds.

    July Rimfire Match:

Dumb question Nope, you can even use a pair of shooting sticks if you like, just no bipods or formal rests allowed in the sporting class. I know it's too late for this months entry, but for future reference if I shoot my 40 year old 10/22 off the crapy burlap sandbags (front only) the range...

    Tulammo .223 ammo

Tula I just got back from the range after putting another 60 rounds of Tula downrange through my M&P-15 with no hicups. I ran a box of 62 GR NATO and a box of 69 GR BTHPs too and there was a noticeable difference in accuracy between the three...with the Tula being the least accurate in my rifle.

    Tulammo .223 ammo

Tulammo I have an M&P-15. I shot my first 40 rounds of steel (55 GR. Tulammo) through it two weeks ago...no failures of any kind. I generally shoot the 62 GR. green tip but it runs me between $.36 - $.40 a round. Steel was $.25.....I picked up 5 boxes for this weekend's range trip. :D

    Kahr PM9 vs MK9 recoil?

Own both...sorta I have a CM9 and the MK9. I would say they both shoot better than they have a right to...being so small. I enjoy shooting the MK more than the CM however the recoil IMO is not different enough that I would prefer to carry the MK over the CM for that reason alone. The MK IS...

Slide won't budge on Colt 1911

Stuck Slide First off, I don't know jack about your 1911 so keep that in mind. Secondly, I would never shoot any of my guns then put them away for MONTHS without cleaning!!! :cuss: Well ok maybe my HiPoint...but at least I run a Boresnake through it and spray it. Have you tried removing...

Why is FN 5.7 so pricey?

$$$ I suppose at .40 a round the carbine would be fun, but still expensive compared to 22mag and 9mm. I was going to say I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a pistol when I realized I am about to purchase a Colt XSE for more than that and feed it a diet of .40 per round ammo. :D So in the...

Why is FN 5.7 so pricey?

5.7 A buck+ per round for ammo is more then I am willing to spend for that particular toy. Especially when 22mag is roughly 1/4 that. When I first saw the PS90 I thought it was interesting, still do. The handgun, not so much. The PMR-30 is more practical financially for my purpose, which...

Why is FN 5.7 so pricey?

me 2 ^ditto Do they even market their armor piercing ammo to the public, or is it a watered down version? The KT 5.7 light looks to be as much fun for a lot less money.......for us non-cartel types:D

    any reason to have a 9 and a 40 ?

40 nine This seems like a perfectly logical decision on your part based on your situation. If family members are recoil sensitive to the 40 you could always go for more separation between calibers...like 22mag and 40 for example.

    Pocket guns

PM-9 Nice photos Kenny. I had no idea the Kahr had that much size advantage too. One thing I noticed in your photos that I forgot to mention were the sights. I find the Kahrs easier to pick up than the typical 3 dot.

    Pocket guns

PF 9 I don't own any KT's, however I have friends who do and they all like them. They are inexpensive and function well. Having said that, I do own a Kahr CM9 and can say it is certainly worth a look due to it's excellent trigger. It is more expensive, but not by a great deal, and if it is...
