I don't know what H1 stands for but it's stamped on the barrel. It's not a heavy barrel as far as I can tell, it's just a standard barrel. It fits over the barrel, just not inside the rear hand guard ring.
Who told you I was a mall ninja? :scrutiny:
They won't fit inside the hand guard slot on the receiver. I just paid a bunch of money for this thing and it doesn't fit! I have an H1 barrel. I know they say it doesn't fit the G1 barrel profile so it isn't that. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions? Please help!
Not really, when I heard how many charges there were and as the evidence piled up against them I figured she would get a long time and he would probably spend the rest of his life in prison.
I take a practical view towards it: if they're guilty, they're guilty, if they're not, they're not...
We had no problems with Vanna's (the female lookout) charges, guilty on every count. The first obstacle we had to overcome as a jury is to decide whether or not to accept the defense's case. They argued that there were 3 men not 2 and it was this third man who raped the wife and not him. There...
The safe was not mentioned very much at all, that is to say that the homeowner testified that was what the robbers were after and that he did not have one and that was it.
Here's what I speculate though: the homeowner, his wife, all 3 tenants and the mastermind Tommy are all Vietnamese. They...

I was just 10 years old when it happened. All of firearms mysteriously disappeared when we moved. No real monetary value, 2 .22 bolt action rifles and a beat up Mauser. But they were my late grandfather's, so they had a lot of sentimental value. Be careful when you move guys. Moving men are...
Yup, San Diego County. La Suer is a conservative and Duffy is a bit more moderate but both are pro-ccw. Whichever your grandma feels is more appropriate would be just fine. :)
Issuing of CCW permits in CA is done by the local county sheriff. The current sheriff, Bill Gore, will not issue permits for any reason. However, the opposing candidates are PRO-CCW. Jay La Suer more so than Jim Duffy. I like La Suer better than Duffy, he is on record as being pro-ccw. Duffy...
If you like the Browning BAR Longtrac, I would also look at the Benelli R1. Same sort of style, but a little nicer/more expensive. Also, to echo what others have said: don't use this gun for home defense. You'll probably want to start a new thread for that.
Although I might as well throw in...
Well, if you're willing to save I'd say the Springfield Armory National Match M1A is right up your alley. If you do this though expect to pay about $3000 for rifle(2300), mount(100) and scope(500+). Also, match ammo isn't cheap, anywhere from $25-35 for a box of 20. Don't cheap out on the...
You're never going to fit that criteria for $1000, however given what you've said I think that a M1 Garand would fit the bill nicely. Maybe not accurate to 500 yards, but it'll go the distance. Go to your local gun stores and gun shows and see what they have. You can usually haggle with the...
My Grandfather's guns were stolen by movers about 20 years ago. Nothing that great: a single-shot .22, a .22 repeater, and a beat up Mauser. Still, they had a lot of sentimental value because he died before I was born so it was all we had left from him really.
They were designed to stop "low-velocity" shrapnel, not bullets of any kind. Handy if someone is throwing grenades at you. IMO, if you want body armor, buy something designed to stop bullets. You can buy surplus Kevlar vests for pretty cheap, ~$2-300 depending on condition.
I've never lost anything, but I always clean at home for this exact reason. I don't shoot at a formal range so if I lose something, it's gone for good.
A common misconception, the French were the first to use the spitzer in their 8mm Lebel, in 1898. They were also the first to use smokeless gunpowder in a rifle cartridge, also in the 8mm Lebel. The Germans didn't put pointed bullets in the 8mm Mauser until 1905.
Yes, the physical dimensions of the cartridge are the same.
gyvel, you're going to have to back that up. I can't find any military that still uses that cartridge. No one uses Lee-Enfield rifles, Bren guns or Vickers machine guns anymore.
No, the .303 was retired when the UK and the rest of NATO switched to 7.62x51. So, yes the 7.62x54R is the longest serving cartridge used by any country in it's military. Still in use today by the Russians, 118 years to be exact. To put it in context, it would be as if the .30-40 Krag...
