    Look! It's the jet-powered grouse!

Dad and I went hunting today. We were in a spot where we had seen a grouse last year. Nothing happened the first half hour we were out there. Then Dad went down a small trail while I went parallel to him in the woods. I had fallen behind a little bit. (My gun was pointing to my left, away...

    Is it worth it?

Okay. Three people shot last month's match. Two of them were ACP230 and I. It doesn't seem worth it to keep on. Now if you people say it is, ACP230 will do the next match. Aye? Nay? Speak up!

    Savage Mark Is?

A friend of mine just got a Savage Mark I .22 single-shot bolt-action. I'm wondering what you guys think about these? It seems to me a nice little gun, nice and light, small .22 scope on it, smooth action. So what do you think?

Okay, this time, how about Darton Archery?

Okay then. The first bow I had (Bear Whitetail Junior) broke. The one I meant to buy went up 80 bucks. Now, we've found a bow that 1: Isn't made by Bear (I'm avoiding Bear because they've been taken over by Escalade Sports and do none of their work in the U.S. anymore) 2: Is affordable and 3...

    I feel unclean...

I have shot a Glock. I feel unclean now. Plastic guns...*shudders* Admittedly it was light, and the recoil wasn't bad, but still...it's a Glock. Urgh. Give me steel and wood. It's the only cure.

My family and I were in Marquette, Michigan a few days ago. Dad and I noticed a used J.C. Higgins Model 20 (Mossberg 500 made for Sears) sitting in the Used Firearms rack at Gander Mountain. The price: $89.99. I looked at it, said, "Hey! I could use this!" and two days later, it's mine. The...

IDPA match the day I leave!!!

I just found out there is an IDPA match on the day I leave for a Christian camp for a week! If we (my family and I) time it right, we could go to the match, shoot it, then go on and drop me at camp. BTW, if we go, this would be my first IDPA match. I'd probably be shooting a Colt Combat...
