A friend knows someone who is selling a 97' date code W.German P226, the unit has some holster wears, slightly used condition. I'd like to inspect the unit first before purchasing it, are there any things I should consider or things to look out? Any advice or suggestions will be great, thanks!
Sorry guys, my bad... what I'll be getting instead is a P226 that has the slide markings "Made in Germany." At least it is still a pure German bred P226, what I always wanted to have:)
I'll post pics once I get or borrowed a decent and good camera to give justice on those beauties. Been spending a lot on guns and not getting myself and the wifey a good camera, can't blame me though:)
I'll be getting mine from a guy who basically collects Sig pistols exclusively, he actually owns 2 of each Sig classic P-series. But you can try sigforum's classified section, local gun stores/classifieds or gun broker.
I had 2 Glock 21 and 1 G19, HK P30, USP Expert .40, Tactical .45, XD .45, sold them all. Now all my pistols are Sig ( P229 9mm DAK, P226 .40, SP2022 .40, P226 X-Five Short & Smart), they are just amazing!:)
I already got the P226 X-Five Short & Smart, still waiting for a NIB P226 W. German and waiting to get a special order on a P226SL Black. After that I'm all good with pistols (Sig P226 preference only). It's not too much, but it's just my own little wonderful world:)
