Ordering a Dillon - Brian Enos or Dillon?

I ordered a couple times from Brian Enos a few years ago. Told him what I wanted to do but had no idea what specific parts I would need besides the press itself. He came up with all the additional parts needed for me to do the job without selling me anything I didn't need.

    Gunfire on Myth Busters tonight

I caught the show and enjoyed it. I've seen the rope shot in movies and have wondered if it was possible. I used to own a SA revolver, so I can relate to what they were trying to do.

    Another newbie question: Bench height?

I built my bench from NRMA plans. The bench is at 40" for me at 6' tall which is waist high. It is at just the right height for standing or sitting on a tall barstool.

    Pros and Cons about Glock

I checked my glock owners manual and there was no mention of lead ammo at all. Closest thing it said was only use high quality manufactured ammo in good condition. Reloaded ammo would void the glock warranty if used. That's it.

    Pros and Cons about Glock

I thought my Glock manual stated no lead. I'll have to check that this evening and see.

What bodily damage have you received from your guns?

When I was 14, I saved up and bought a Beeman pellet rifle. I was out hunting one evening with it and saw a large empty beer bottle laying by the irrigation ditch. I threw it in the water and it was floating bottom up. When it got 20 yards away, I aimed at the bottle and fired. I heard the...

    Remington 700 BDL experience?

I've had one in .300 Ultra for a few years now and I have no compaints. I changed the recoil pad and swapped out the J-lock on it. It shoots .5 when I do my part.

    Books on Maneaters

I've read most of the books already mentioned and they were great reads. I then got the opportunity to see the Tsavo lions on display at the Chicago Field Museum. That was pretty cool but they had another lion on display that was a huge beast that had killed 6 people in 1992, now that was a...

I've been using a Dillon 550 for the last year for pistol and rifle ammo. It has worked out great for me and I like being able to use one press for everything I need.

    10mm for hunting/ wilderness defense

I carry a Glock 10mm whenever I am in territory that holds dangerous game. When I was in Alaska hunting Caribou, I was told by my hunting guide if attacked by Grizzly, to stick the Glock in the Grizzly's mouth and pull trigger many times.

    Hunting pants

I would recommend a pair of riverswest pants. You can read about this new material at www.riverswest.com. I bought a pair a couple years ago when it was relatively new and unknown. Wore it all week in Alaska camping out on the tundra. They are so warm, you may not have to wear long johns...

Re. Bear Defense--What South Central AK looks like

A few days ago, I happened into what I know now as Devil's Club. Those things were awful. I was pulling some of them out of my clothes and had splinters in my fingers for a week or so. I thought it was strange to be getting splinters like that from a plant. Thanks

    Case Trimmer Suggestions

I've got a Hornady trimmer but out of curiosity bought the inexpensive Lee trimmer. I used it for the 1st time a couple weeks ago and I was very pleased with the results. It will probably be the one I use from now on. It is so simple to use with no chance of over trimming a case.

    A letter to Remington

I own two Remington products - a 870 Magnum and a 700 BDL. They are both excellent! The 870 Magnum (12 g) is no longer made :( but I have been shooting it for 20 years now without a problem. I purchased the 700 a few years ago in .300 Ultra and it is an awesome shooter without any...
