    Plunk test

I've been using MBC 9mm, 147gr, bullet for years and check each round with both a case gauge and the pistol barrel. No problems. I just got a new batch of 147gr bullets from MBC and have reloaded 5 rounds. Each one pass the case gauge test but not the barrel test. I'm trying to figure out why...

    Sights for a Glock 43X

I just got a G43X and am thinking about putting in new sights. Thinking about TruGlo TFO or TFX. Would either of these be a good choice?

New to IWB and could use advice for a holster

I just got a Glock 43X and looking for an IWB holster. Never having had one before, I don't know what features to look for and the comfort level of different styles. Two that I have considered are the Simply Rugged Cumberland (or DEFCON 3) and the Crossbreed Supertuck...

    SecureIt Gun Safe

I've got limited space and looking to get a safe that I can pigeon-hole into a closet. The heavy and unwieldy gun safes won't work for me. I'm looking specifically at the Agile 52 which I'll secure to the wall. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the Ultralight series of gun cabinets...

    Holster Glock 40 MOS

I have a Glock 40 MOS and already have a kydex holster for it. Occasionally, I'll add a Crimson Trace green laser to the bottom rail. I can't find any holster that can accommodate the G40 with the laser on the bottom. I suspect a rail-mounted light would also create the same issue. Does...

    Coax Curved linkage

I've had my Coax for while and am considering getting curved linkages which would provide more access. Inline Fabrication makes one but has a stopper in the center which I think defeats the purposes of the curved linkages...

    Holster for a Glock 40 with a rail-mounted laser

I am setup now with a kydex holster for my G40. On occasion, I will run it with a Crimson Trace rail-mounted laser and my existing holster won't accommodate that. I have to crossdraw as I have a rotator cuff issue and can't draw from the strong side. Any suggestions for a holster?

    CoAx Universal bullet puller

I have a CoAx and looking to pull some 45 Colt rounds where I used a MBC coated-lead bullet. I have no experience pulling rounds before and am not interested in the kinetic/inertia pullers. I much prefer the collet-style even though it is more expensive. Forster makes a Universal bullet puller...

Franklin Arsenal - sorting out brass

I just bought a Franklin Arsenal tumbler. For years, I've used a HF single drum where I hand removed cases from drum. What are my options for removing the brass from the steel pins? I've eliminated the magnet approach. Not for me. What are the options to separate the two?

    Rotary Tumbler

I've been using a Harbor Freight single-drum tumbler with stainless-steel pins. It has served me well but has been acting a little funny lately, so I am planning on replacing it fairly soon. I'm looking at both the Franklin Arsenal rotary tumbler and the Thumler's rotary tumbler. Which of...

    Heavier bullet goes ...lower?

I have a Glock 40 MOS (10mm) with a red dot which I reload MBC Hi-Tek coated 180gr. It is the most accurate firearm I shoot, bar none. I recently bought some factory-made Underwood 220gr ammo and my shots were all low and off the pie plate. To make sure it wasn't me, I've had two buddies shoot...

    Case selection

For a while, I used mixed 9mm brass that I reloaded on my CoAx. I was having too high a percentage of them that would not fit in the case gauge or would fail the plunk and spin test. I decided to buy new Starline brass and have been reloading that for a while now. It never presents problems and...

    Lewis Lead Remover

I have a buildup of lead in the cylinder of my Ruger 454 Casull from shooting 45 Colt. I am going to order the LLR kit from Brownells. I've watched various videos of people using it. I'm worried that with all the pulling if I'm not careful I will throw the cylinder out of alignment. Is that a...

    Maximum Pounds of Powder

I was reading the "Hoarding Still Going On" thread and I noticed many people talking about buying powder in large amounts. It got me to thinking....is there a limit of powder we can possess over which one must register with ATF?

KKM barrel for G17. Stock or extended length?

I have a G17 and am going to buy a KKM barrel for it. I reload and shoot lead bullets. In my G40 MOS, the first thing I did was put a KKM barrel in it and it is the most accurate handgun I shoot. So, I will order a KKM barrel for the G17 but can't decide whether to get the stock length or...

    Lee Undersized Die and 9mm

I'm reloading 9mm for both a Glock 17 and DW ECO using the Lee 4-die set. I've separated my 9mm brass and have been using WIN brass exclusively. The plunk test passes every time on the Glock but fails 2% of the time with the DW. I've been reading about the Lee Undersized Die and wonder if that...

    454 Casull

I am going to start reloading for 454 Casull and had a question or two. I have a Ruger SRH Toklat and am looking to reload so I can shoot mild loads at the range. I already have some commercially-made Underwood ammo for times when out in the woods. Will I need to get a gas-check bullet? I've...

    454 Casull and brass

I have some CBC brass that was used in Magtech commercial ammo that I bought. I've read that it is heavier than other brass in that caliber. I typically buy Starline brass whenever I start reloading a caliber. Is CBC ok to use to reload 454 Casull or would it be better to just buy new...

    Chest holster

I am looking at a chest holster for a Ruger SRH revolver. It will be worn when I hike/backpack below a Hill People Gear Original Kit Bag. That means the chest holster I get will be worn a little lower than normal. The two I've looked at are a leather one from Diamond D and a kydex/webbing one...

    Powder dipping method

I reload 9mm, 10mm and 45 Colt for handguns using a CoAx. When I reload I usually do 100 rounds at a sitting. I've toyed with the idea of getting a thrower but have moved away from that because of the small number of rounds I load at a time. I'm trying to find ways to speed up the powder...
