why does the military use 124 gr 9mm?

It pokes a better hole? I'm curious, could you elaborate?

    Smith-Wesson M&P Wrong Magazines

I hardly think a snide comment on semantics is helpful. Mags are most certainly cartridge specific, and I believe he clearly got his point across. Also, you spelled caliber wrong. ;)

    Surefire XC1 on an XDm

Just got the XC1 recently, couldn't find any pics of one mounted on a 4.5 XDm so thought I would post a pic for my fellow XDm owners. Plenty of reviews out there but bottom line it's an awesome weapon light, and I would recommend it.

    Clown Nose non-lethal projectile

This? http://www.alternativeballistics.com/how-it-works Seems like a waste of a perfectly good hollow point, but I have to say it's kinda cool. If it works like they say and can simply be clipped on and then it breaks away without causing a malfunction I would buy one to have. The idea that's...

Colt Producing New Model 1903 Pistols

Maybe its just me, but that gun looks like crap. The wood and finish leave much to be desired for $1400. I had to do a double take when I read that WAS the brand new gun.

So the wife wants a gun....

If she is a lefty than something 100% ambidextrous for sure. Other than that, let her choose.

A little help with suppressor db reduction

The difference between 30 vs 39 dB reduction is large, and will be immediately detected by the ear. Also, dB reduction ratings aside ultimately sound reduction is greatly influenced by platform. A bolt gun that has zero moving parts and no place for gas to escape besides the muzzle upon firing...

SX3 burst barrel, anyone see this before?

That is a significant amount of rust, and if nothing else shows a serious lack of maintenance. Calling it unavoidable is nonsense.

    Shooting with Delta Force

I get what you're trying to imply, but Silencer is what Maxim called it in 1909 and what the ATF calls it today as does every piece of legislation controlling it.

    trapped hogs

So...you trap hogs, castrate the males and release the female so she can make more. What the hell is the point? Do you simply enjoy castrating hogs? Or maybe you enjoy the testicles?

    Winchester PDX-1 9mm 124g +p: WOW!

The main difference between anything PDX1 and anything in the Ranger T series is bullet construction;PDX1 uses a bonded bullet and T series does not. The often overlooked Ranger Bonded series is identical to the PDX1. Spec sheet for RA9BA, 9mm Luger +P 124 gr. Ranger Bonded...

    .40 S&W Bullet weight

Hmm, its odd that link shows a MV of 1070 in RA40B, while the LE site shows 1025. http://winchesterle.com/Products/handgun-ammunition/ranger/bonded/Pages/RA40B.aspx The penetration values don't match either. http://winchesterle.com/ammotesting/Pages/testingtool.aspx

    .22lr MEGATHREAD

Funny you should say that. About a week ago I was shooting thunderbolts in my 10/22, and they were dirty as ever but shot fine. Then I grabbed the BX25 I kept loaded with Winchester CPHP's, and had two misfires in the first 10 rounds. They got shot twice more each and never went bang. I...

New LWRC AR15 and questions about AR

The upper is proprietary but you should still be able to put a different upper on the lower. I know LWRC sells the IC uppers separately and that should fit a standard mil spec lower.
