New LWRC AR15 and questions about AR

I bought an LWRC IC in 5.56. LOVE IT. Issue is it is only 5.56/.223 now and LWRC says they are doing a .300 BLK but not for 6 months. I am now in the hunt for a more standardized DGI AR. I have looked, oh how I have looked. I am now a victim of AR overload.

My goals are

1. start with 5.56/ .223
2. minor 3Gun use
3. ability to change other caliber uppers such as .204 Ruger for prairie doggin

thinking Colt 6920.

Thoughts?

I personally would sell the lwrc and buy a bcm 5.56 rifle and a 300 blk upper. Any mil spec ar15 upper will go on the lwrc, but you can almost buy 2 rifles for what one costs. After 300 blk it will be 6.5 or 6.8.

according to LWRC the IC model I have has a proprietary mono forge upper and is not a "standard"

The upper is proprietary but you should still be able to put a different upper on the lower. I know LWRC sells the IC uppers separately and that should fit a standard mil spec lower.
