So I'm in the position where I have to downsize my collection considerably and I've got a buddy who wants to buy my RockOla. We both know the gun is worth some decent money and neither of us wants to rip anyone off. Is there some kind of valuation service we could use to set a fair price or...
The first handgun I ever shot was a K22. I actually got to shoot it again for the 1st time in many, many years last month. I always loved that K22, but just realized it's my all time favorite 22 and only second to my Python as far as wheelies go. Get one!

I burn 4.5 of bullseye or red dot under a 200 grain LSWC. Honestly can't tell the difference between the two and I get very good accuracy.

They certainly don't make them like they used to. I love my smiths and rugers. Hell, I even love my taurus wheelies, but none of them balance and feel quite like this early hollow lug 6" snake.
Yep, I will definitely work up and not do anything stupid. I'll also be working with a +p gun and brass. Maybe I'm over thinking things, but am wondering how much pressure is affected by seating the bullets backwards as your theoretically making the combustion chamber smaller by taking the...
I've got the range officers at my favorite range trained to sweep brass into a pile for me. They even check with other shooters to see of they're keeping their brass. Luckily it's the closest range to me and is is only a few years old.
Another vote for the Marlin 39A here. Been shooting one since I was a kid and just a few years back my dad finally gave it to me to keep. Out of all my toys it is hands down my favorite and most prized.

3 grains of bullseye with a 158 lswc has been a very accurate target load in every 38/357 I've tried it in. As previously mentioned, unique and red dot are great too but I typically keep my unique for +p and 357s as it thrives at stiffer loads.
I recently got rid of my RIA 1911 to help fund a Springfield RO and I've had a Ruger 5" for about a year now. Hands down I like the Ruger the best. The Springfield is pretty good too but between these 2 examples Ruger beats out Springfield in the fit, finish, accuracy and trigger department...
Last summer when ammo and components were in short supply I picked up a box of Freedom 230FMJ 45s from a small LGS. I filled a mag and fired 3 rounds - all of which felt very powerful. I chased down my brass saw signs of very high pressure (extremely flattened primers). I dismantled the rest...
My buddy and I each took an elk last November from just outside Weston (way down southern Colorado). My buddy used a Ruger American in 30-06 with federal factory loaded 150 grain soft points. He hit his cow in the shoulder and the bullet fragmented inside of the animal, but it was one shot and...
The 88 is a beast! I've had one since roughly 2003, shot tons of trap and killed plenty of geese with it. It has never had any malfunction whatsoever, even in a wet muddy goose blind. Currently it's wearing a pistol grip and an 18" cylinder choke barrel. In less than 3 minutes I could have...
Never say never... [emoji12]
Theres been plenty of things brought back from wars over the years. I happen to know of a brought back all original carbine. Never rebuilt, none of the "upgrades", no reimport marks and I met the man who brought it back. Hell of a nice native American man who...
I think they're hit and miss. I read about people loving them and hating them...
That said, As luck would have it, last time at Cabela's they had 2 on the shelf. The retail packaging is pretty cool as they have cut outs to cock the hammer and to pull the trigger. There were night and day...
