Anyone remember WSL-Winchester Super Lite?
I figured out charge weights for this powder when the WS? powders first came out.
I liked it a lot. Naturally they discontinued it.
Yeah, I would love to see it amongst all the different powders/brands in the area around it. It's really not that new now and there should be more info.
Looks like if one of you guys don't do some chronograph work, I'll be forced to see if my old PACT that is about 25+ years old still works...
I built a few 10/22s for some school shooting clubs back in the late '80 early '90s.
First thing I asked was if I could remove the barrel band. Those that said no ended up bringing theirs back to have it done. All shot better without it.
I've shot a lot of .44 mag with WST. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do that but it works wonderfully for me.
Next will be W244 when the weather gets better.
I've been playing with Winclean244 lately. Haven't chronographed any but As for being forgiving and clean burning it looks very promising. Not done enough testing to actually say it is as clean as WST but it is darned close and shoots cooler.
Usage in both 9mm and .45ACP.
I can't find it on a...
I hope if I am ever in some place that someone starts shooting in, there is at least 1 person in there that is open carrying, except my friend.
I have a friend that insists on carrying open everywhere he goes even if he needn't. He has a CCW permit but thinks open carry is so much cooler. I've...
I've got some Norma .357 brass NIB somewhere and a few .44 mag also. I think I have some Norma .223 or .222 Remington somewhere too.
Norma brass was always a pleasure to work with.
I have the Ruger and the wife has the S&W. I think the Ruger is 1/7 twist and the S&W is 1/9.
Both shoot about the same.
The trigger on mine was not as good out of the box as hers.
I put a Velocity 3# trigger in mine and we're both happy.
For me it isn't all about speed. I have worked with my hands most of my life and I no longer have the feeling in them that I once did and I shake at times just a little.
Handling one case at least four times to load on a single stage is just a chore for me. Being able to put a case in the shell...
Yep, head this bad habit off at the pass before it ever gets started. My club has multiple types of targets (steel plates and Texas stars) and target holders permanently in place (4X4 post with full plywood sheets for paper targets) so we have plenty of options.
Is there any way to make sure that you have the gas block exactly positioned in the correct spot before you touch off a round?
I recently changed out my stock handguard with a different one that required a low profile gas block that locks on with set screws and I'd prefer to know it is correct...
People having opposite eye dominant shooting with handguns problems has always baffled me.
My wife has this problem and I finally convinced her that all she needed to do was sight with her right eye and hold the gun still while barely rotating her head to where the left eye was lined with the...
It was just the detente plunger for the thumb safety. Spring and take down lever plunger stayed in the tube.
Now that I've found and fixed I'll answer the question that I'm surprised no one asked.
What brand of 1911?
Bowing head and feet shuffling, a GSG 191122. I think I'm actually going to...
