Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

And last 3 pics. I would really appreciate any input on identifying these rifles, model, make, variations etc. as well as appraisals or the historical accuracy of their current condition. I'm primarily interested in their historical value and would like to own and shoot a piece of history...

Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

UPDATE photos of Lee enfield and Steyr M95 I just received pics of both guns that show better (sort of) views. I think they were taken on an Iphone, and they look squashed or distorted or something. This post will be the Enfield Pics:

Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

Hey that would be great Eb1, I would really appreciate some views of your rifle. I just talked to the guy and he said the stock is original and marked in 3 places, and he will send me better pics. He also said he had his gunsmith look at it and the sight was replaced (still it might be after...

Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

That's right, 1895 straight-pull Mannlicher. I've been reading about them all afternoon and I'm curious to see if he's trading a full-length rifle or one of the shorter carbines. What I'm trading on my end is a Remington Genesis muzzleloader that has been rarely fired, along with a 50 cal ammo...

Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

Wow, you just said a mouthful of parts there:). Looks like I would have more in the parts that I would the actual rifle! I know it's hard to quantify, given you've got 4 muddy photos to go on, but would you have any idea what this rifle might be worth, so I know what I'm dealing with in a trade...

Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

Hmm Ok, I see...sporterized. I never did like that word. How hard would it be for a guy to get an original stock and sight? Also it needs a magazine... Would you consider this a decent project gun or would I be better off looking for a different Enfield? Thanks!!!

Can you identify this Lee Enfield????

Hi guys I'm considering trading for a Lee Enfield rifle, and although I'm very interested in military history, I know nothing about these British guns. The seller says that he has never shot the rifle, that it is missing a magazine, and it has a pretty large peep sight on the receiver. I'll...

Am I missing SOMETHING inside my Buckmark???

Update 2.0 Turns out I had installed the click plate upside down, which is why the safety was hard to engage. Now it's smooth as butter, and everything is back together perfectly. Now all I need is a recoil buffer and it's plink plink plink! I'm buying, who's selling? Anybody know if...

Am I missing SOMETHING inside my Buckmark???

Update Well I did manage to get everything back together. I had a little trouble with the pin that holds in the click plate for the safety, as one end of the pin has a smaller diameter head on it that fits in the click plate, which I had in the trigger, so I had to punch them out and swap them...

Am I missing SOMETHING inside my Buckmark???

I know... I know.... I take everything apart. If I can't get it down to the last pin and screw it just eats at me. I've taken apart every gun I've ever owned and managed, somehow someway to get them all back together (take it from me, leave that side plate ON that double action revolver.) I...

Am I missing SOMETHING inside my Buckmark???

I'm having some problems with my Browning Buckmark. About once in every 10 round mag, the trigger will fail to reset. The next round will chamber, but the trigger stays in the "pulled" position. The other thing I'm getting is a really REALLY stiff trigger pull. Every 3rd or 4th round or so...

Cleaning up an old Buck Folder Knife

Hi, guys My dad just gave me his old 70's era buck folding knife with the brass and wood handles, leather case, you know what I'm talking about, and the brass is kind of tarnished and dark looking. I'm wondering if it would affect the value of his knife if I got some kind of brass polish or...

    Old Model Browning Buckmark Disassembly

Thanks, I think you are right. I ended up taking the whole thing apart, taking pictures, and I do have a pre mag disconnect model. I broke it down to the trigger and hammer and sear, but could not find reliable info on those dissasembly steps so left that alone for now. I'm thinking of buying a...

    Old Model Browning Buckmark Disassembly

Hi guys, I've got a gunsmithing question for you... I just traded for a 1992 mfg. Browning Buckmark .22 pistol. I'm the kind of guy who has to take every gun he owns down to the last pin so I can understand how it works, especially a used gun that looks like it's never been cleaned (this...

any info on Astra Cadix .22 revolver?

I just picked up an Astra Cadix .22 revolver from a buddy. The gun has what looks like a nickel finish, pearlite, or some kind of plastic pearl-looking grips, and what looks like a 4in barrel. I've not been able to find any info on anything other than a blued finish on these guns, and I'm...
