    Most regretted gun purchase?

This one is hard to believe. First gen RPR in Creed. Got one when they were impossible to find. All excited as I went home. Set up on my bench. First impression, wicked barrel heavy. Second, butt stock sucks! Third, Hornady ammo 1-1/2 to 2 moa. So, I just spent $1100, now need $600 barrel, $300...

Is your interest in guns narrow or broad?

My interest has evolved throughout the years. In my early 20s, I got the chance to shoot a Colt 1911. Wasn't very accurate and shot about a foot low at 15 yards. Figured I'd never own a 1911. When I hit 30, my LGS had a used Springfield Armory custom hardball 1911. I took a chance and loved it...

Well what did y'all get for gifts this year?

My boys came home with their wives. Spending the week with us. That's all I needed. House of six, with one on the way, my golden, and a six month old black lab named Reilly. Couldn't ask for more. However, I'm thinking about picking up a S&W 617 this week. I've had an urge for a nice 22...

Packpike, I think you should upgrade the older press. I'm happy to take it! If it was me, I'd keep the tool head and powder die for future calibers. This is an assume gift! Good for you!

    Reload bench lighting no no?

I picked up a LED 4' light from Costcos for $28ish. No ballast. Lots of light. Would work great.

odd issue with my press/loading today

Make sure your sizer die is adjusted correctly. I had this problem before, but never when die is correct and using quality brass.

    Powder Measure for Test Loads

Another vote for Chargemaster. If it broke tomorrow, I'd order one before dark. Just read the reviews.

    Another big fan

Yes. Been there. I use Dillon lube for normal resizing. Anything heavy duty, the lube pad comes out or Imperial.

    Two loads for 243

I know you weren't looking for a match load, but I'm working up a load for my new Savage. Varget behind a Berger 90grain match.

    chrono recommendations?

One more vote for Magnetospeed. Quick and easy to use, and harder to shoot it by accident...

    AR-15 not grouping consistently

Two things come to mind. Scope/mount issue, I had a high end quick release mount and a Nightforce scope. I ended up finding out I had a defective mount. Barrel? Good quality match? Barrel twist?

mounting a scope on a steyr pro hunter

    Talley makes a great product.

    Inaccurate AR-15

If you decide to try a new barrel, take a look at Lilja barrels.

Is this AR worth it? Daniel Defense

Let me say this, I own a D.D. and a $2600 Les Baer. Just finished building a $1500 Grendel. The DDM4 or 5 was $1000 unfired. Do over? I would buy two DDs instead of a Les Baer. Only reason, I don't shoot enough or am good enough to take advantage of the high end LB. I have seen several DDs...

Does My Firearm Collection Strategy Make Sense?

I buy and sell firearms so I can find what I like and want to keep. I would be more inclined to have fewer firearms but of better quality. I don't know what type of shooting you and your son like, so my comments are what I like. I'm a Sig fan. Flocks are amazing reliable. But shooting a Sig...
