I have a Colt 4" barrel 45acp, in like new condition, don't believe it has ever been fired. Serial nr is 498**-LW. I know the LW stands for light weight, but can anyone give me an idea when it was made?
Have run out of 9mm 115's and HP-38 but have 100gr 380 round nose plated, and Clays powder.
Would like to load for 9mm but do not have any reliable data. Suggestions please for plinker loads.
LGS has a "Wiley Clapp" MKIV 5" Colt 45acp which is new, two digit serial nr. Other than name, what makes these Colts special? Any idea of serial number range?
Along with HP-38, both made in Kansas plant of course. Bunch of other "Winchester" powders on shelf too. Guess Hodgen figured they could trade on the name. All same price $26.95 or thereabouts. Bought 1000 CCI large pistol primers....$32.95! Prices gone up a lot since I bought my last ones! :)
Starting to shoot a lot of lead in my pistols and want to try something different. However, I clean in the house and prefer to use stuff not so smelly. Have never used Shooters Choice Lead Remover.
Won't go into details other than to say I can shoot this one more accurate than any others I have.
Ran thru half box of Rem's and box of my light reloads. It gobbled them all and made nice tight groups when I did it right. As others have reported, it has very nice, smooth, trigger. Factory...
I have a lot of 100 RNFP plated bullets that I bought for 380 loading, which i don't do much of anymore, and wondering if they might be used for 9mm plinking. Powder on hand is Clay and Bullseye. My Lymans loading book has nothing for Clays; for that matter, nothing for 100 grain bullets...
I have an early model and would like to try to research where it would have been sent after it was made in 1943. I'm guessing the records are vague or nonexistent, but would like to pursue it to see what can be found.
Ideas, suggestions?
Recently got a used Rem 1100 LT-20, 20ga, Magnum, blued, nice wood, with KE on barrel. I know K=may, but E was used in 1936, 1958, 1984 and 2010. Guessing by nice cond of mine that it was '84 or '10, but which? Serial nr is
N5546++U.
Won't this pusher also work on the rear of 1911 type guns? It says its a "front sight" pusher. If not, do any of you have any recommendations for other products that might work on both front and rear dovetailed 1911's...
Bought this one used today and it tested out fine with a mixed type of my reloads. It has a very small scratch on the black alloy frame and I'm wondering if the Birchwood Casey Aluminum Blacking solution would work? Has anyone used it?
Decided to load some 9mm nickle today and about the 4th one, the decapper pin bent! Sorted through about 250 of the cases and about 25 or so were Berdan.
Took the pin out of my 380 set and continued loading. Also order 3 spares from Ebay.
Don't recall who I got these from but I do...
I know very little about shotguns but a friend traded me this one that he said he got from a police officer. I'd like to know how old it is, what kind of barrel (modified, open, ect), and approx value. Barrel appears to 20".
Right side receiver says "Remington Wingmaster 870" with serial nr...
Talked with a guy I know who said he has a Colt Commander MK IV serial
FA038**E, blued in excellent condition, with white grips, no box. I'm going to look at it next week to discuss a trade.
I'm guessing that its a Series 80, but does that serial provide any more info, and ballpark...
I'd like a 1911 compact/commander size OWB holster that holds the grip up snug against my body. FWIW, I carry a Sig C3 4" and Colt New Agent 3 1/2". My current holster, made locally, has a loop on each end and does a fairly good job except the grip is not as snug as I'd like.
Any...
Originally they were gold color and now they are silver. I have a couple boxes
of the gold and am trying to get an approx date for them.
Mine are LPP and gold/brass color.
I have 45 acp 205gr RNFP lead bullets to load with 231. Can't find good match in Lymans 49th, but have loaded some light with 3.6gr 231 that cycle the slides of my Sig GSR and Kahr P45. Does anyone have any info on what the maximum charge might be? Not looking to load ones, just would feel...
Had not shot my S&W Mod15 for several years but got it out the other day and
really enjoyed shooting it. Its renewed my interest in wheel guns again after shooting only auto's for a good while. One issue that bothered me was the knurled? hammer hurting my thumb when cocking it. Its a case...
