I just recently bought a Remington 870 Wingmaster. It's an older one, has a 28 modified barrel--no chokes. I got a great deal on it and it's in nearly perfect condition. My question is about removing the plug. I can see some green plastic thing when i remove the cover to get the barrel off...

I have a Mossberg 500 and i am wondering what choke tube is the best to use for shooting trap and skeet. I have been shooting with the modified choke tube. Would it be better to use the improved or full choke tube? Thanks

Thanks for all the replies and keep them coming. I want some opinions on a gun though. The gun is a Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag Combo with two barrels- 24" and 28" vent-rib ported barrels. It's a pump. Would this be a good gun to go with for hunting and skeet/trap shooting?
