I've seen a few T/C muzzle loaders in stores , but have seen very few of their bolt action guns in Nashville TN. Bass Pro Shops, Dicks, or Academy. What's the problem?
I get occasional light strikes with my T/C Venture rifle. I can take those lightly struck cartridges and load them into my m70 Winchester and they fire. I get more failures when using CCI and Winchester primers. Would Federal primers be any better? I use large rifle magnum primers. I would...
Ok, this will probably sound stupid, but how often should I run a lubed patch down the bore of my rifle when shooting? After each shot? Will the lube or lack thereof affect my groups?
I cannot get my BP rifle to group. How many shots should I take before swabbing the barrel? With what do I swab the barrel? Should I lube the barrel between shots? I shoot a .50 cal. inline muzzle loader using 209 primers, 2 50 gr. equivalent pellets and the bullet is a sabot 240 gr. all lead...
I recently purchased a T/C Venture rifle. In the instruction booklet that came with it, there were instructions that said not to use ammoniated ( products with ammonia) in the rifle. Can someone explain this to me? Most copper solvents contain some type of ammonia compound.
I tried to order a magazine for my .270 T/C venture rifle. I phoned T/C and was told they were back ordered and would not have any for a month or so. Can anyone suggest where I can get a magazine? I would appreciate any help.
Dick's recently had a sale on the T/C Venture in .270W for about 325$ after rebate. They guarantee 1in. at 100 yds. with premium ammo. It did that. With my reloads, it grouped 1/2in @ 100 and 1in @ 200- yds. This is the only rifle I've ever owned that I did not have to modify i.e. float the...
Please bestow your wisdom upon me. I am getting a new rifle and being a tightwad I will choose between two rifles which are the Mossberg 100ATF or the Savage Axis. Which would you choose and why. Thanks for your suggestions. It will be a .270W.
I need to shim my scope. The rifle is a .243 and I cannot adjust the scope any lower. It shoots about 5 inches high at 100 yds. I would appreciate any suggestions.
I am loading for .243W using WW760 powder. I am currently using magnum primers. Would regular primers suffice? I recall reading somewhere that magnum primers should be used with the WW760 and the H414 which are the same powder.
I shoot a .270 Winchester. My scope is about 2.5 inches above the bore. The MV is about 3000fps with 130 gr. bullets. To have a 200yd zero, how high should I be at 100yds? The charts I have seen are for scopes mounted 1.5 inches. I would appreciate any info.
