How do you remove the barrel from a Beretta Bobcat?

I have an aftermarket barrel I want to try. Do I just punch out the pin or are there other tricks? Thanks, RFC

Does anyone make a longer after market barrel for the Beretta Bobcat?

I seem to recall reading about one.

Does anyone here have any experience with the Izhmas biathlon rifle (not the basic)?

Right now, at least, I've got it in my head that maybe a .22 biathlon rifle might serve as a all purpose target rifle. I shot my biathlon basic yesterday and am very pleased wtih the results. I managed to work it down to ragged one hole groups with PMC Moderators. This has caused me to wonder...

Have any of you used an insert to convert a 308 to a 7.62x39?

I understand that inserts are available and are not permanent. Any experience. I would use it on a bolt 308. Any idea whether the 7.62x39 would feed properly from the mag? Thanks RFC

Has Ruger improved the Mini 30 and Mini 14?

I looked at these rifles a few years ago, but rejected them because of the horror stories about accuracy. Has Ruger since fixed the problem? Thanks RFC

Any experience with the CZ carbine in .223 or 7.62x39?

This looks like it could be a fun little gun. How does it shoot with surplus ammo? Would it be possible to attach a scout mount? Thanks RFC

What is the difference between the Ruger compact rifle and the Frontier rifle?

Is is just the scout scope mount and the laminated stock? And what accounts for the extra 1 lb. in weight? Thanks RFC

Looking for rear adjustable iron sight that will attach to a Weaver rail

I have found that B-Square now makes a scope rail for the Taurus 941. However, it requires removal of the rear sight. I'd like to be able to switch between a scope and iron sights without having to reinstall and sight. Does anyone make a rear sight that will attach to a Weaver rail? Thanks...

How to scope a Taurus 941?

I've been looking at backpacking / kit guns and have concluded that my Taurus 941 in 22 mag may be a better choice than any of the takedown 22 rifles, particularly if I can use an easy to mount and remove small scope or reddot. Is there any way to scope (or install a reddot) on a 941 without...

    Sig Sport v. HK Elite

Thanks for your many helpful responses to my questions concerning HK handguns. After months of work, I'm actually starting to see some marked improvement in my handgun skills. (Interestingly, what has helped the most has been regular practice in my backyard with a Daisy Avanti 747 target air...

Please educate me about H&K Handguns

Happy 4th, everyone. The large handguns I presently shoot include: 1) Sig 226 9mm; 2) Sig 220ST; and 3) Glock 34. I am interested in H&K handguns, but don't really know much about them. In particular, I have been looking at the Expert, the Elite, and the P2000. What I'm trying to figure...

    Advice please re "Non-Firearm" practice

I have shot rifles for most of my life. In the last year I've become somewhat obsessed about becoming a proficient handgun shooter. In the process, I've accumulated more handguns than I really need (so what else is new). I realize that practice is the key. My range sessions are too far and...

    Kel-Tec P32 & P3AT -- Have the problems been worked out?

The Kel-Tec's look like one of the best options for pocket carry. Whenever I do a search, it get a mix of comments going back to 2001. The real question for me is, in 2005, have the problems been solved and can one expect reliability out-of-the-box? Thanks RFC

Questions re Browning High Powers and Clones

In my quest for the accumulation of additional handguns, I've been thinking about the High Power. In general, what is your opinion of the gun? Are there any clones I should look at? Does anyone make it in stainless? Many Thanks RFC

Is there a scope mount that will fit the Taurus 941?

Given that the revolver is chambered for 22 mag, it would be fun to take adavantage of the potential range. RFC

Does anyone have any information about the new Bersa Thunder .380 Concealed Carry?

It's suppose to be released in June. It appears to be a dehorned version of the standard Bersa. The most interesting aspect is that it weighs a little less than 18 oz. Somehow, Bersa has managed to shave off 5 plus oz.

Handguns and triggers -- Sigs, Glocks, Kahrs -- DA/SA and DAO

There, that title should cover just about anything. First I want to compliment the members of this forum for the thoughtfulness of you responses, as well as your courtesy and decorum. The "feel" is much like that of the Sig Forum, as opposed to some of the gun forums that seem to be...

Just got a Taurus 941 5" -- Now some questions please

Fit and finish look good. I think this has the potential to be a good kit gun. As reported, the SA is fine and the DA is stout. There was no manual in the box. So I checked online and found the generic Taurus revolver manual. Is there an manual specific to this model? Regarding the DA...
