    Competitive Shotgun

Do NOT get a 930. I had issues and several people I know have issues. I only shoot local club matches but ended up shelling (pun intended) out the money for a used Benelli M2 that was already done up. However, based on my experience watching other people run guns and seeing what works /...

    Competition dreams.

As everyone has pointed out, go to some different local events and watch and talk to the competitors. Most club level competitions will let spectators try out guns / stages. I shoot some club level 3 gun. I would STRONGLY recommend the Stoeger M3K over the Mossberg 930 as an entry level gun...

Does the Sig 7.62 Titanium suppressor come with a assembly?

The Sig QD suppressors are supposed to come with a brake. They sell brakes / flash hiders separately so that if you have multiple rifles, you can have a suppressor mount on each rifle without having to take the muzzle device off (which would be a horrific PITA).

Replacement Thumb Safety for Mossberg 500

The ProMag ones are aluminum? Are the safeties on 500's the same for 12's, 20's, and .410's? I bought three online and when they arrived, the safeties on all three were broken. Two 20's and a .410.

    ATF registering firearms

It's a great START to a registry. And what's so inefficient about them scanning the records and then using handwriting recognition software to convert the scans to a database. There is some pretty impressive technology out there for this. Granted, it's certainly not as easy as just downloading...

Benelli SuperNova 24", Question for owners

I was going to build up and use my 24" SuperNova for 3 gun but I ended up selling it and went with something else. IF MEMORY SERVES (and it rarely does), I believe you want the +5 NC extension for it to be close to flush. That being said, call Nordic. Their customer service, in my experience, is...

    ATF registering firearms

I respectfully disagree. Now that you know that the ATF scans bound books and now that you know it's not legal (without permission), why do you need a list of FFL's? Just ask any FFL you plan on buying a gun from if they allow this practice. Preferably in a loud voice in front of a lot of...

    ATF registering firearms

One question that arose from this is that if the IOI inspectors are scanning 4473's willy-nilly (or downloading electronic records of 4473's) and the information falls into the wrong hands, that means that those people who chose to put their social security number on their would be at MAJOR risk...

    ATF registering firearms

Ryanxia and I both frequent the same shop. The ease of access to the records is the EXACT reason that pac n arms refuses to do electronic 4473's. It's just too easy for the ATF to grab everything in one fell swoop. Exactly. More people need to have this attitude. I don't want to put any FFL...

    Benelli M1 Super 90 Issue

Judging by how dirty it was and the fact that my friend is the one person who cleans their guns less often than you do (ok, maybe you're in that category, too), I wouldn't be surprised if there was close to 3,500 rounds through this one without a cleaning. The noise wouldn't bother me except...

    Benelli M1 Super 90 Issue

My friend was nice enough to loan me his HK-marked Benelli M1 Super 90 for a shoot. I decided to be a nice guy and clean it for him. Upon taking the trigger assembly out and cleaning it up, I noticed that the ?hammer? intermittently makes a loud click on the way back to locking up with the...

    dsa FAL pistol questions

My plan is to do one or two range trips and then sell it (or trade it). It's nothing I'm excited about, I just want to shoot it for the novelty and then I'm done. The guy I'm trading with wants something of mine that's for sale and this is what he had to offer, so I'm trying to make the deal...

    dsa FAL pistol questions

I would place it in this category. This is less than I was thinking, so I'll have to work on tweaking the deal a bit.

1-6x scope vs 3-18x scope for SCAR 17S

^This. Although my question would be how often you shoot at each range - if most of your shooting is hunting and plinking / target shooting at distances less than 300 yards with the occasional long range session, go with the 1-6. If a good portion of your range time is spent past the 300-400...

    dsa FAL pistol questions

I'll decide on the one handed-shot after trying it with two, but I think a shot or two would be do-able. Apparently the muzzle blast is horrendous. But because it's a factory tuned short gas system, it was a popular platform to SBR as they ran reliably with the short barrels. As has been...

    magpul ak furniture

I haven't heard anything about a forend from Magpul, but have you fondled the Hogue AK set? The Hogue AR set is a bit slim for my hands (which are on the small side of medium - I can't imagine someone with big paws running a Hogue-gripped AR comfortably), but the Hogue AK pistol grip is superb...

    dsa FAL pistol questions

Added pictures in OP. Apparently they were a very popular platform to SBR. Just add a Para stock (and a $200 tax stamp).

    dsa FAL pistol questions

I realize that this is the Rifle Country forum, but since 99.9999% of FALs are rifles, I figured the FAL experts would be in this forum. I'm considering trading some stuff for a factory dsa FAL pistol. I know very little about FALs and had a few questions about the trade- First and foremost...

Sanford Gun Show this weekend- Maine

The Sanford gun show is this weekend (9-21/22) at the National Guard Armory in Sanford. I think that it's 9-5 Saturday and 9-2 Sunday (but don't quote me on that).
