i love magpul moe gear and have a magpul moe ar... i know they have ak pistol grip... does anyone know if they plan on jumping in the water with a full set of ak furniture?

I haven't heard anything about a forend from Magpul, but have you fondled the Hogue AK set? The Hogue AR set is a bit slim for my hands (which are on the small side of medium - I can't imagine someone with big paws running a Hogue-gripped AR comfortably), but the Hogue AK pistol grip is superb. And their overmolded forend is comfy (and grippy), too.

I would love to see a Magpul furniture set. I wouldn't be surprised to see a set in a year or so.

US Palm grip, arsenal furniture. Even magpul is going to be hard pressed to top that at under $100. :)

The folding stuff is great, but costly. Soviet length stock suits me just fine.

Well, I'm loving the MagPul MOE grip on my Saiga conversion.
While I like the stock Saiga forend, my sincere hope is that MagPul will make a drop in Saiga MOE handguard with heatshield.

All Magpul has to do is include their standard rail sections, and I'm sold on it over the K-Var. The QUALITY polymer handguard market is limited already, and even more limited when you decide you want a polymer handguard that let's you mount a grip or flashlight.

Nice-looking rifle, btw.

Agreed on that last bit. Polymer rail sections would be a bonus. I bought the hogue ak set with rail sections that were suitable for a light. That was the only item that I ever ordered and dislike it so much that I sent it back. Given the options Ive seen, give me K-var and a dang zip tie.

So Magpul, if you're listening...we need light rails!!!!!!!!!!!! No bipods, optics on the handguards or mall ninja crap....just a good gripping surface, decent heat shield and LIGHT RAILS!!!!!

Thanks. I sold that rifle. It was a great shooter. The guy is running it at tactical matches around NC so you may see it. It was the only norinco with k-var furniture duracoated magpul FDE I've seen. It came out really nicer looking than I thought. I tried wood first and refinished the wood stock set in my own "Russian Red" treatment. RIT scarlet die and cheapo minwax mahogany stain.

I agree. The stock Saiga forearm is pretty nice. But if Magpul made a version with a little more texture and heatshields, I'd buy it.

Lol, I agree. I have a MI rail on one of my AK's, and it works great. Good, meaty grip surface, mounts a light easily, but that sucker is heavy. I have thought about the SS version, but it's only a couple ounces. Magpul would make an excellent handguard, for sure.

I did the same thing to my old WASR. Tacked $100 onto it for the better wood finish when I sold it lol

Magpul's grip looks good. Hogue's fore end looks really good, wish they had made matching buttstock.
