For target shooting, get a Range Officer. I have had 3 or 4 Gold Cups. They shot about as good as any average regular 1911.

Although the 10-8 u notch is in vogue now, I run Novak's or Champion clones on all mine with the white dot. If I don't like the rear white, I can always blacken them.

Triggerwise, the BHP will never be as good as a good 1911, but it will probably be better than everthing else.

These feel great, I'm surprised at how thin they are. They don't bite or grind into my skin quite like the 1911 grips do.

I use plain GI 20 rounders just fine at full capacity. 30 rounders can't quite get that many in there.

I'm looking at a 28 gauge High Standard pump. Anyone have any experience with these? This one is as new. Are they BPS/870 sized guns in 28, or a bit smaller?
