well let me be the first to say, I like imr 4227 with hornady v-max 35gr .224 bullets. a little over 2800fpc

the 223 brass can not be resized to 5.7 Johnson been there done that. the wall of the 223 brass at the base is to thick to fit the dies that form it.

5.7johnson out of a carbine has no recoil and at 2800fps and 700 foot pounds at the muzzle , will get the job done.
