Perhaps I'll get one of these Lee undersize dies, I do plan on avoiding that brass though.(FC/Blazer) Ive got tons of mil brass to make my way through.
Thanks for the input. I just measured several bullets and they were .355.5-.356, seemed fine to me. I'm not about to measure 500 bullets though. I cleaned my sizing die, it was a little dirty, but I'd think that would make that size the brass slightly smaller.
Edit-I noticed in reply earlier...
So yesterday I was making some of my 9mm range loads. I was using brass Ive used a handful of times (I stopped tracking load times on pistol brass). It was mainly remington and winchester(nato). I had a few random FC and Blazer I had gathered at the range. I was QAing my cartridges after I had...
This is going to sound crazy, and I'm not saying this is the case, just a personal experience. I had a similar issue with the same model and it was fixed by reducing the amount of oil I used in the bolt. I tend to use a generous amount of oil on my weapons in the case of this model it did not...
Right now I plink with 115 gr because they are a little cheaper. Slightly off topic here but what was the original military load a 124 or 115? Im pretty sure nato rounds nowadays are 124's.
I thought about the firing pin protrusion and sig's spec. However, I dont have the equipment or knowledge of how to measure that on a pistol and I have no ideah how to get their spec. I doubt theyd give that to me over the phone. They would just tell me to "send it in"
Also, unlike most pistols...
Update. Went to the range today and shot 200 wsp loads. This is after me removing .009" from my firing pin tip. I had no pierced primers and no ftf, 100% reliability. The primer strikes cover more surface area but look just about as deep, maybe just a little shallower. They look like excellent...
Im not sure if this topic fits here, mods feel free to move. Does anyone have any experience with ordering reloading components; specifically powder and primers and having them delivered to base housing?
Im interested to see if my p89 experiences pierced primers. Ill keep this thread updated.
Curse at me if you will, i just took .009" worth of material from the tip. I did a super scientific test by chambering a dummy round and putting a piece of paper on the breech face and pulling the trigger...
