damn! well looks like i will have to really keep an eye out for one hitting gun shops in my area to get lucky on snagging one
i know i can get the regular MPX with the stabalizing brace, but i really do like the SBR ones and don't mind paying the tax stamp for it
Since SIG just recently announced their shipping the MPX out to distributors, will the MPX-K (the 4.5" barrel one with telescoping stock) and/or the MPX-SD (6.5" barrel with telescoping stock) - both would are SBR's - also be available for purchase?
If so, does anyone know where to find one?
P239 here in two-tone with crimson trace laser grips. this is my EDC in 357 SIG. Also have a 40 barrel and mags. Orig came in 40 and EDC it in 40 for 5 years. Switched over to 357 SIG about a year ago.
About 800 rounds of 40 through it and about 300 round of 357 SIG through it. Never once...
if the SIG short trigger reset (SRT) is available for the sp2022 it would be worth it to get and install
i have a p229 and p239 both with the SRT and man it's a sweet DA/SA shooter
ruger lcrx with some hot +P 38 spl in the cylinder is my BUG - usually carried in front pocket or on ankle (clothing dependent). main carry gun is sig p239, or p229 depending on waether and clothing i'm wearing, both loaded with 357 SIG GDHP
like mentioned above you can seal the rounds yourself. it's incredibly time consuming though. great for a long weekend where you're snowed in or some other crappy time
use a nice defense round and you'll be fine with either caliber. gold dot HP will do a great job. if sticking with 9mm and your pistol can handle +P ammo go with it!!
No experience with the 39 series S&W, but I have owned and CC a P239 in the summer for over 6 years. Carried it, and originally purchased in, 40 but have since swapped to 357 SIG and have been quite happy with it.
With the short rest trigger offered by SIG the P239 is a sweet shooter.
