    Shadow Systems MR920

Just bought a MR920 black with threaded barrel. Looking good. So which parts do interchange with G19 gen4? The striker looks different. I would change mag release button, too. And rear night sight-can I do Ameriglo G19 sights? TIA

    Tikka T3x, anyone seen one?

I got a desire for a rifle in .223. I had Tikka T3 years ago, but sold when I had a rough patch in life. Now Sako/Tikka came up with T3x, which seems to be an improved version of T3. I like the specs very much: steel bolt shroud, weighs less than 6 lbs, improved stock, and the 1:8 twist is back...

9 mm with a short trigger pull

I am going arthritic and my trigger finger is kind of crooked and is getting shorter. Otherwise, I have medium-size hands. Carried issued 92 and G17 with no problems when I was younger. I have sold CZ-75 because of this problem. Tried Sig P229, same story. Even Walther p99 seems a bit long for...

CZ 527 American or Browning X bolt in 223?

I would like to get an accurate, light rifle as a walk around warmint and for plinking into a 300-yard range. :)I would get CZ 527 or Browning X-bolt. It is said that CZ is going to switch to 1:9 twist next year (which is positive for me), but they lack the synthetic stock that I want...

    S&W M&P 340 no IL range report

I spotted a no-lock S&W 340 on gunbroker and bought it for $650+S&H. It came in a paper box and not in a nice blue polymer box one expects from S&W. I already mailed a $50 promo coupon to S&W and will see how long it will take to get the money back. The revolver is extremely nice; I enjoy...

    Do it all shotgun?

I recently borrowed a Remington 1100 from a friend and had a great session at skeet shoot, which I missed since 20 years ago. But 12-gauge beat me up pretty bad. Probably the borrowed gun does not fit me. The question is: what shotgun should I get to do it all: HD, skeet and occasional...

    Revolver misfires

My S&W 60 revolver misfires all the time with factory .38 special ammo. I sent it to S&W warranty and they replaced firing pin, a few screws and the revo misfires even worse. The hammer falls and leaves no dent on the cartridge. What should I do... I have never disassembled a revolver. Is it...

    CZ 527 Carbine sights

Just bought a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62x39. Very nice looking rifle, a free-floated barrel. But here comes a big problem: cannot install my favorite scopes on it, even with high rings. :banghead:The rear iron sight is bumping into the scope bell. So I am considering either to sell the carbine while...

    Warning signs on Beretta

Went to a large gunstore to choose a semiauto shotgun for my younger son. They are large Beretta dealer. He shoots skeet and used borrowed shotgun, but now he wants his own. OK, we looked at Beretta shotguns and they have these engraved WARNING signs, even the expensive ones. Anyway, this was a...

    Scope mounts/rings for CZ Carbine

Does anyone know what scope mounts are best for CZ Carbine in 7.62x39? I would like to get see-through rings and mount a Weaver 6-24x42 scope. I know that the scope is overpowered for this small rifle, but I already have the scope and really like it. Will CZ 527 rings work? They are a bit...

    Springfield Armory customer service

Friend of mine has an XD-9, which he likes. I think it is a solid gun. SA claims lifetime warranty. Has anyone sent XD to Springfield Armory for service/refinish? The gun saw ~1000 or so rounds and was carried in a holster. I wonder if they refinish the gun under warranty, like Glock does. My...

    New SSR-85 from Atlantic-initial review

Received an SSR-85 from Atlantic, and the rifle did not disappoint me. The rifle is clearly built from new parts, numbers on the receiver, bolt and everywhere match, muzzle threads are left-handed, sharp and well-executed, no rust anywhere. Mags fit tight and without wobble. The rifle arrived...

    SSR-85 from Atlantic-whos warranty?

I became interested in the Bulgarian AK rifle that Atlantic sells and wonder who imports it and provides warranty. Atlantic has a good reputation in our neck of the woods. The 14 mm threads sound good. How is the quality of this rifle? The ad looks tempting. It is more expensive than WASR, but...

    Lancaster Arms

Has anyone dealt with Lancaster Arms in AZ? How are their gunsmiths? Do they do a good work? Anything to be concerned about? I am thinking of a Saiga conversion with them. Any info would be appreciated. TIA

    Ak or Galil receiver

Is it possible to buy an AK or Galil receiver for a future build? If yes, any links would be much appreciated. TIA

    Newer HK

I've come to appreciate newer HK pistols (P2000, P30, HK45 and HK45c) so much that they became the only polymer guns in my collection. Excellent ergos, more than acceptable accuracy and 100% reliability. Also, they look good to me and my sons. Outstanding guns for combat/duty.:p

    H&K smith/armorer?

I got a HK P2000 without night sights. I would like to have someone install night sights and perhaps lighten DA pull, without voiding the warranty. I do not have the sight pusher and would not want to mess with the gun myself. Any recommendations will be appreciated. Hessy

P2000 as an only polymer gun?

I am thinking to add a H&K P2000 to my stable. I do not have any polymer guns, but had/carried a G17 many moons ago and did not like the grip. Did not shoot it accurately. Held P2000, it feels great. It is light and I could CCW it. How accurate will it be in 9 mm? I am thinking of DA/SA, the...

    Bianchi shoot using revolver

:) Does anyone shoot Bianchi matches using revolver? I did last week, it was fun (see attached pics). The difficult part is fast shooting using weak hand. I had to practice hard to get perfect score. Being a bullseye shooter, this type is shooting is new to me, and it was my first Bianchi-style...
