    I own 3 Ruger sixes...Tyler T-Grips on each.

Who has a Henry Single Shot and do you like it?

I really, REALLY like them. My .357 (I added a Realist 4x scope) was such a fine shooter, that I bought a 30-30 (added a Weaver 4x scope) and gave it to my son-in-law as he was moving out of state. Both calibers are under 2 MOA with my failing eyesight. Exceptional firearms. A bit on the heavy...

    Ruger Blackhawk Aftermarket Grips

Bearpaw custom grips. Fatter at the top, narrower at the bottom. I have these on all five of my Ruger single actions and couldn't be happier

Anyone else begrudgingly packing a 9mm

I don't "begrudgingly" carry any handgun. I gratefully, and confidently, carry any caliber from .22LR to .357mag. Isn't the Second Amendment GREAT!? (Sorry Illinois.) Anything in that range will kill if needed, God forbid. Firearm reliability, shot placement, penetration...in that order...

    Old rifle, scope mount

I don't know what you paid for the 325A...I was born in 1954 (too?)...but keep it if you can. They don't make these anymore and never will. If it "is in really nice shape" as you said, hold on to it even if will be just be to hand down someday. With iron sights...and our diminishing eyes...it is...

    Old rifle, scope mount

I don't have a clue how much it costs to D&T the 325A, but a couple of calls to local gunsmiths would be more accurate than any guess on my part. I own 2 versions of your rifle; a 1982 Savage 340 series E and a 1964 Revelation 225 (Savage 340C)...both in 30-30...both came already D&T'ed. I...

    Update to the Ruger 77/357

Just shot my 77/357 this afternoon. 180gr subsonic handloads gave me just under 1" at 50 yards using an old Weaver K3. If I had younger eyes or a more expensive scope, I bet I could shoot MOA at 100 yards. Yep, I really enjoy my Ruger, too. Sweet carbine.

    New .22 rifle daydreams

Does it have to be new? Nothing wrong with looking at vintage firearms. My 1960's Marlin and Glenfield Model 60's are quite accurate if you prefer autos. My 1961 Marlin Model 81DL or 1940-something Springfield Model 86C can put them where you want them. However, if someday you have a hankering...

    Let's see your 30-30 rifles!

Top: 1982 Savage 340 Series E with a Bushnell Sportview 4-12x40 Bottom: 1964 Western Auto Revelation 225 (Savage 340C) with a Weaver K2.5. Love my bolt action 30-30's.

    Tyler T-Grips...metal...no sanding required.

    Grips for a J frame

+1 on Tyler T-Grips. 1. Inexpensive 2. Enhances OEM beauty. 3. Enhances ergonomic grip. 4. Reduces recoil "roll". 5. Does NOT increase length, width, nor height. 6. Made in the USA. I have them on my Model 36 and all my Ruger Service/Security Sixes.

    Ruger single six value

I recently purchased a BLUE 1973 Convertible (.22lr/.22mag) 95% 6-1/2" in Texas for $400...maybe $425...can't recall exactly. I thought I got a fair deal. No super price, but it was what I'd been looking for (locally) for the past year. I haven't regretted it. Killed a stupid squirrel on my bird...

does anybody cc a single action revolver?

Thanks for the informative photos and text, WrongHanded...specifically the off-hand draw. I'll try that with my Mernickle and see how it feels. I'm especially curious to see if feeding the belt "outside the holster" will make any difference with the PS6SA. It already carries significantly high...

does anybody cc a single action revolver?

I choose NOT to open carry in town, even though it's legal in here in Texas. Do I CC a single action? Yes I have, and will continue, on a regular basis as long as it's cold enough to justify wearing a jacket or a coat. 4-5/8" Ruger Blackhawk .357, Bearpaw grips, in a Mernickle cross-draw or...

    Best "Gun" Advice or Saying?

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but I find it amusing and rather truthful: "You accomplish more with a smile, a handshake, and a gun than you do with just a smile and a handshake." Al Capone

    22 WMR?

My Marlin 640KD "Chuckster" is probably the most accurate rifle I own up to 100 yards. I believe it would take any coyote within that range. After that, the .22mag begins to drop off rather rapidly. I think another caliber would be a better choice so you're not so "range restricted". Many...

Your Favorite Semi-Auto Pistol Caliber and Why

I CC most every caliber (.357 and below) based on how I'm dressed. But, I asked myself, if I KNEW I was going to walk out my front door into a gunfight, which of my firearms (I'm not counting shotguns) would I put in my palm... Without hesitation, my CZ-52 or my Zastava M57A in 7.62x25. I know...
