I tried a bunch on my security six end ended up useing the Houge Nylon monogrip...not sure if they still make them anymore. You can grind or sand them to fit your hand which is the route I took followed by agressive stippling. I wanted something that would more even with wet or muddy hands and they work the best. The old pachmayr presentation grips that covered the backstrap were definitly the most comfortable for shooting full power 357. Great revolvers BTW.
FYI, if you have a 150 series Six, (the "Humpback"), the Pachmayr rubber grips will fit it. There will be a little bit of extra material at the back of the grip where the web of your hand goes, bit it does not affect function at all.
2 Security Six's with Pachmyer Presentation grips, and a Service 6 with Pachmyer Gripper Decelerator grips. They are a bit hard to find. I have larger hands so the after markeet grips work for me.
Not trying to cause a stir but IMHO ruger is the least desirable gun for me to take to the range. My Blackhawks, Redhawks, mark series. They don't do it for me. Disappointing actually. Except this one. The best ruger ever made in my opinion. Right there with my Troopers.
