The GODS smiled upon me this weekend at our tiny dinky gun show ...... A tremendous find.

I rounded the sharp edges on mine and made the grip considerably more comfortable and better looking.

Open Carry in a Traffic Stop

Before even greeting the officer, tell him or her you have a legal firearm and ask what the officer wants you to do. Of course this begs the question, "what is the gun doing on the dash?"

For those of us who live in an open carry state

Tennessee is an open carry state. We have had so many people move in from blue states in the last 4 years that tend to call the police when they see "man with a gun" that they would keep the police busy 24/7 if everyone open carried.

South Carolina Now Permitless Carry State

Be careful and read the law. Permitless carry does not necessarily mean Constitutional carry. Here in Tennessee we have permitless carry. There is a law on the books called, "intent to go armed" that has not been removed. Permitless carry is an exception to that law. There are places like...

    Holes in the Stairs

That is from a mis-step made in the 60's from a cool dude wearing a pair of Tom McCann Sidewinder shoes with the pointy toes.

What? You have to clean them?

Cleaning serves a second purpose also. I clean my guns after each range session to check for wear points and look for any problem areas like I once found in a Kel Tec 9mm with its cracked frame. That problem could have led to a "problem" if it hadn't been caught early.

    Safe Question

On many safes there is an adjustment on the side opposite the hinges. It is basically a door stop. Check to see if yours are adjustable, generally with a screwdriver, and if so, loosen the screws to adjust the door stop.

My favorite range had an oopsy!

Some years back, the NRA put out a bulletin suggesting any and all cracks in an indoor range's floor be sealed due to an explosion at a range when a powder filled crack went boom and sent concrete chips throughout. I was the sealer at my range. I went through 3 tubes of caulking compound.

"Real World" cheap/bulk 22LR ammunition comparison

On a day with no or limited wind, my high end 177 cal. air rifles outshoot my 22 Marlin 39. It is truly amazing how far air guns have come in the last 5 years with no end in sight. They do get very expensive though. Air rifles, just like powder burners, have to find the pellet they like best...

    Animal Cruelty!!!

My avitar shows what happens to bugs at 25 yards with a very accurate (and expensive) air rifle when they wander on to a target.

Whats the worst thing youve left/lost at the range?

North American Arms 22 LR cylinder. Call NAA and asked to buy another. They said I would have to send the gun in because the cylinder has to be "timed" or the gun could blow up. Total cost for that would be $150 with the shipping etc. I got on Fleebay and picked one up for $70. I know how...

    Another inter state transfer question

No NFA items and the guns are legal in both states. I just wasn't sure if the term "contents" covered firearms as well due to the fact that firearms seem often to be in a category of their own. Thanks for all replies.

    Another inter state transfer question

As taken off the ATF web site: May an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA in any state? Generally, a person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own state. Exceptions include the acquisition pursuant to a lawful bequest, or an over-the-counter acquisition of a rifle or...

    Another inter state transfer question

Person's uncle passes away in another and in his will he leaves entire content of his home to his nephew. The will does not specify the 3 legal rifles by name or serial number. He brings the rifles to his state in which they are legal to own. In this instance, does he have to go through an FFL...

Moving from Ca to Tx, how do I get my guns there?

Moved from N.J. to Tennessee 22 years ago. All guns in the moving truck I was driving. As I crossed the N.J. border into P.A; I dropped the window and gave a single digit hand signal to N.J. strictly in the name of highway safety of course.

If and when you go PCP. Get a Young Heng compressor. If taken care of, it will last a long time. Go to Pyramyd Air web site and read yourself crazy with what they got. Sign up at Air Gun Nation web site. Most there are biased in favor of FX rifles, but you can find information on many...
