Hey guys, in MT (where I live) one can carry a loaded pistol in a bag, purse, briefcase w/o a permit because it classifies as luggage. Is this the case also in Idaho? Just curious as I'll be traveling there soon.
Thanks for the help
HG
I was on carryconcealed.net and it tells me that I can take a hunter safety course and that will be enough for the training requirements to apply for my concealed carry license. Can anyone verify this?
Thanks,
HG
I just emailed the DoL of Washington State (William Foth) and he said that open carry is allowed in our fine state. To show ways in which open-carry is more limited than CCW, he told me to read RCW 9.41.300 and 9.41.050.
My question to y'all, is have you ever open carried here?
I just open...
The M60 does not come with swivel studs, which means you cannot attach the sling swivels that Marlin sells. I'm sure there has to be a way around it, but I'm not sure how.
Does anyone know of a sling-type that can get around that?
If I am going to be drilling into the stock, does anyone have...
I know it's a parts gun, but I was wondering if anyone here was willing to discuss their reputation and accuracy... things like that.
I'm not thinking about buying the kit, rather a pre-assembled used one.
Thanks guys,
HG
So, I'm a rifle newb and this is what I am thinking.
I've been reading Fred and BTP a bit recently, and I appreciate their focus on becoming riflemen. I too would like to try it out. To start that out, my parents got me Fred's guide to becoming a rifleman. Will hopefully get it soon...
Some may wonder why I have taken such an interest in guns and military tactics and I believe the answer is multi-faceted. First I have always been fascinated with weapons, and when Nick introduced me to firearms it just really took hold. As my family and closest friends could attest to, I am...
If this has been posted before, please feel free to lock. I just thought there would be some people here who would get a kick out of this.

So, I took my friend Shannon to the range today. She had never shot before and looked interested when I told her what I was going to be doing this weekend.
I invited her to come along (in true John Ross style). I didn't have a .22 so she was going to have to shoot my only pistol (a G22 in...
Hey all,
I just put 300 rounds through my first pistol yesterday (and there was much rejoicing). I am very happy with it, and for right now the only thing I want to add are some hogue finger grips.
But
I have been reading about the G22 and the notable (although still infrequent) KB's...
I finally did it. I bought my first gun today (a G22). Been a royal pain in the a**, but that's ok. I am a student so I had some problems claiming residency, but after a few calls to the ATF, things got worked out and now the paper is in the works. Just 5 more working days and then... glorious...
I'm taking a small vacation in northern Idaho later next week, and after seeing how amazing your gun laws are I was wondering what the rules were for non-residents purchasing handguns.
I'm a student, so a "resident" of like 2 states (live in one, with banking and all that, but all of my...
Hey guys (in that gender non-specific way),
I was going to buy a glock 23 for punch and concealability. I just found a good deal on a full-size G22 (new/rebuilt $469 including 2 mags and stuff). Now, I cannot conceal-carry just yet, but I am going to put in for it within the month...
And by that I mean Washington State's National Guard. I'm almost 23 with a few degrees under my belt, but I have always wanted to join the military. I figure if I did this it would allow me the chance to take care of the home front and help out if things ever get bad here like they are getting...
K, here it goes:
3 people (2M 1F) walking along the street (they live in the downtown area of a major US city) at night, say around 11pm. The F is grabbed by a guy and dragged into the alley, he has a knife to her throat. as the 2M's are "encouraged" to also enter the alley two BG's come out...
