I think Smith definitely has a winner here. I loved it the very first time I shot one. I bought a fullsize then bought a compact for carry. Its the best carry gun by far, for me.
They have saved lives and have also put lives at risk. What is preferable for duty, might not be preferable for CCW. Everyone has to consider the pros and cons and decide for themselves. I have 2 pistols with a mag disconnect, but I think I am going to eventually "disconnect" the disconnect.
I have this sight for a M&P. Not having the white outlines on the rear makes it better as you can focus in on the front sight more easily and faster. The thing that is an issue for me is the width of the rear notch at least on the M&P.
You can use the short barrel stuff if you want but your M&Pc will be fine with a standard load. Your pistol has a 3.5" barrel and .40 ammo is optimized for 4". Not a big deal at all.
Yeah, the question is worded wrong but I know what you're getting at. But, you have to understand that the finishes offered by Bowie Tripp and Robar are all completely different. Aside from looks, one of those finishes may have qualities you desire.
I have a USP with NP3. I'm very happy...
I tried out the M&P9, loved it right away and bought one. Over time, I continued to be impressed so I bought a M&PC40 to replace my P2000 as my carry gun.
I currently have that holster for a USP, 2 M&Ps, and I used to have one for a P2000. They have all been excellent. I have several other Comp-tac holsters, (CTACs and belt holsters) and those are great as well. Comp-tac is top notch. The fit is always excellent, they feature a generous front...
I'm not sure if I'm understanding you but of you're saying that it is the industry standard to manufacture/test .45 ammo for 4" barrels, that is not correct.
