    16ga Lee Reloading Question

Thanks again. I am using Claybuster CBO-100-16 wads. Since this does appear to be a little to short, do you have a suggestion as to a taller one? What are you using? Thanks

    Need help with shotgun loads

Had the same problem using a MEC Jr. The problem is to raise the adjustment where it is hinged in the rear. Use an allen wrench to loosen and raise the adjustment. You might then need to lower the final crimp adjustment. This should take care of your problems. It nearly drove me nuts...

    16ga Lee Reloading Question

I have used MEC reloaders for years, and couldn't resist a bargain price on a Lee Load All 16ga loader. Lee is new to me, and I rarely shoot 16ga. I shot a box of Herter's and then tried loading. only to have the final crimp cave in deeply. One of my regular trap shooting friends suggested...

    Some Shotgun Questions...

Shotgun choices The Remington 870 is the most popular gun ever made. Shooting trap can be done with the 870, but it is primarily a field gun. In other words, it shoots where aimed, and trap requires a gun that shoots at a rising target, thus shooting the pattern slightly higher than the...

Trap with O/U and 590A1 report

When shooting trap, make sure the gun fits you and you don't try to fit the gun. It should come to your shoulder where your head makes no adjustments and you see both sights (if you have two beads) in a figure 8 configuration. Next, the target is always rising. If you hesitate just a split...

Switching from right to left-handed shooting

Due to eye trouble, I find it difficult shooting right-handed, and using what was my dominant eye. I enjoy trap shooting, and would like to know if anybody has successfully switched from right to left-hand shooting and suggestions in doing so. My gun does have an adjustable comb, so that...

Trap - I've hit a wall in scores @ 21 avg; any tips to break through

Wood on Wood Every time I just slightly raise my head from the stock I drop a bird. The league team mates are quick to say WOOD ON WOOD, meaning keep my head firmly planted on the stock. As you know, there are many ways to drop birds, but start by keeping your head firmly fixed to the...

Win. AA vs Remington Club RELOADS

Any suggestions as to what wads work best with AA's? I have been using Claybuster.

Thank you. I had no idea, but will definitely check it out. Again, thanks.

Win. AA vs Remington Club RELOADS

Thanks for your reply. Both hulls are 8's. I'm not sure if the height differences (where the hull actually folds over) makes the AA's bulge, or if changing the final crimp height would make a difference. The old AA's (the old red ones) seem to be the best and the gray ones are terrible. Any...

Ordering in target load 12 gauge?

Go to WalMart and buy some Winchester 1 1/8 1200fps shells. There are 4 boxes in a carton and sell for $21.74. They pattern well and are clean shells. I have shot over 300 of these and have no complaints.

Win. AA vs Remington Club RELOADS

Remington hull are loading great in my MEC JR. BUT, when reloading Winchester AA's the hulls wrinkle. The AA hulls appear to have a higher crimp line. Any suggestions?
