    30/30 revisited

I recently bought a 30/30 marlin, throughly enjoyed sighting it do to the lack of blast and recoil. Shot a whitetail with it on a hunt from about 100 yards. Did a fine job with a good wound channel. Makes me wonder why I mess with anything bigger for deer

I glassed a group of antelope at about 400 yards ,, crept into what I thought was easy range ,, got a good rest...

    Tikka in 8mm mauser

I bought a Tikka T3 in 8mm Mauser 6 months ago. I didn't really know what to expect as it was my first Tikka. I bought it because is was relatively cheap and in 8mm because its my caliber. 35 whelen misfire problems

I have newly rebarreld 35 whelen that has misfire issues with reloads but not factory ammo. Only difference in the rounds is that the factory ammo has a slight roll crimp. Is that a big enough difference to cause misfires?
